Hello,
Yes, Your experience in the nursing field, combined with 32 years of work experience, can be a valuable asset for pursuing an MBA. Many MBA programs value applicants with diverse backgrounds and extensive professional experience. Your experience could bring a unique perspective to the classroom discussions and enhance your understanding of business concepts. I want to take an mba and get into marketing but I dont want to take a bba..Im from science background in 12th. what alternative degree can I take
Hello,
There is absolutely no compulsion to take BBA in order to pursue MBA. You can opt for any bachelor’s degree and later pursue your MBA as the eligibility criteria for an MBA is that the candidate must have a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50 per cent aggregate or equivalent from a recognised university.
You can opt for BA, BSc, B.com or even B.Tech.
Hope this helps,
Thank you

Hello aspirant,
There is not any issue even if you have science background and want to do MBA. If you have completed your graduation then you can directly take admission for MBA. Basically your stream does not restrict your eligibility. You just need to fulfill the percentage criteria.

MBA vs PGDM WHICH COURSE IS BEST
Hi!
Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM), both are the two-year management programmes offered by business schools in India. Both programmes teach management skills and are highly recognised by corporates. While MBA is considered to be a degree programme, PGDM on the other hand is a diploma programme. Given below are some of the points of differentiation between MBA and PGDM:
- Business schools (or private MBA colleges) generally offer PGDM while colleges which are affiliated to the university offer an MBA.
- Institutes offering PGDM can revise their curriculum in response to changing business needs and industry behaviour while on another hand, colleges offering MBA undergo such revision in a time-based manner.
- An MBA is offered by a government or private university or a college affiliated with the university which come under the University Grants Commission (UGC). On another hand, PGDM is offered by AICTE recognised business schools and standalone/ autonomous business schools, under the Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD).
- Colleges offering an MBA generally follows a fixed curriculum which is generally more theoretical in nature while institutions offering PGDM keep on updating their curriculum more frequently.
Candidates who wish to pursue management education must not focus on the nomenclature but should focus on major quality determinants such as faculty, curriculum, rankings, accreditations, and placements.
For detailed information about difference between both the programmes, candidates must read: MBA vs PGDM .
