I am a final year student of Bachelor of Science. I want to pursue MSc-PhD in Industrial Engineering in Operations Research at IIT-Bombay. I had studied Mathematics for 2 years in my Bachelors and now I am preparing for JAM exam in Mathematics which will be held in 2023. Am I eligible?
Hello Aspirant,
As per the eligibility criteria released by IIT Roorkee for JAM 2022 you would be considered as eligible for JAM 2023 (JAM 2023 eligibility criteria would hardly have some changes) because as per the eligbility criteria if you want to pursue M.Sc.- Ph.D. Dual Degree in Operations Research from IIT Bombay then you should have Mathematics or Statistics for at least two years/ four semesters and you have mentioned in the question that you had studies Mathematics for 2 years during your Bachelor's programme, so you would be eligible.
You can check out detailed eligibility criteria from the link given below :-
IIT JAM Eligibility Criteria 2022 - Academic Qualification, Marks, Age (careers360.com)
But note that above eligibility criteria is for JAM 2022 because till now JAM 2022 has not been conducted and for 2023 new brochure will be released but usually the eligibility criteria remains same for every year except that of some minor changes. So make sure to check out the eligibility criteria for 2023 as well.
I hope this information helps you.
Good Luck!!

Hello Aspirants.
Hope you are doing well.
Yes, a cardiologist can do 7 to 10 operations in a day if he is a well maintained position and ready to the operations. But as you have not mentioned the name of the organization for which you are asking the question I am asking for the name because every organization have their own sort of guidelines and rules and regulations for the functioning.

can a neurosurgeon perform 3 to 5 operations per day
It really depends on the surgeon’s stamina. Studies however suggest that the more the surgeries the doctor does in one day , the more the rate of incident-free surgery falls , it is due to the nature of surgery, it requires constant concentration, which consume a lot of energy. On average the number of surgeries performed in one day range from 2 to 4 .
There was any free eye operations going there for more than 60 years old persons..? if its true means kindly share the procedure..
Hello,
The cost of surgery comes around Rs 250-300 in the government hospital and the entire procedure is done manually. The recovery period in small incision cataract surgery is between 10-12 days and in phaco emulsification technique it is within 7-8 days.
Presently Sankara Eye Foundation India, as a group, is able to perform over 500 free eye surgeries every day , through Gift of Vision program. We have provided free surgical eye care to over 1.8 million needy patients so far.
What be be safe score for OM boys to get admission in neet 2021 MBBS in J&k?
Hi Merc bishop,
Hope you are doing great, as you know counselling for MBBS/BDS/AYUSH courses for UT of Jammu and Kashmir is conducted by JKBOPEE (Jammu and Kashmir Board of professional entrance examination).
In Jammu and Kashmir the cutoff for boys and girls is different, as 50% of total seats are reserved for female candidates. According to NEET 2020 the cutoff for MBBS for OM category boys was 562. Now this year it can vary from 560-565 because about same number of students scored above 560 marks in NEET 2021. According to me if your score is above 565 you can consider yourself safe to get admission in MBBS.
The list of all Government medical colleges of UT of Jammu and Kashmir is as under:
1: GMC SRINAGAR
2: GMC JAMMU
3: SKIMS medical college
4: GMC ANANTNAG
5: GMC BARAMULLA
6: GMC RAJOURI
7: GMC KATHUA
8: GMC DODA

I am OM boy and my score in neet 2021 is 590. can i get Gmc srinagar?
Hi aspirant,
First off all congratulations for such a good score. Recently JKBOPEE has released roll no. wise list of candidates of UT of Jammu and Kashmir, if you analyze the list carefully you can see that about same number of students scored above 600 in NEET 2021 as was in NEET 2020 .
In NEET 2020 reservation for OM category was 50% and the cutoff for male candidates in GMC SRINAGAR was 612. Now from this year new reservation policy will be followed according to which the reservation for OM candidates will be 54% .So with a score of 590, you don't have chances to get GMC SRINAGAR but you will get other good medical colleges like:
1: Govt. Medical College JAMMU.
2: SKIMS Medical college.
YOU will also get new medical colleges if you are interested in them. I hope you got the answer.
You can also visit the following link below to predict your college.

I am OM category boy and my score is 583 in neet 2021 which college will i get?
Hi Hanan,
First of all congratulations to you for such a good score.
The counselling for Jammu and Kashmir MBBS/BDS/AYUSH courses is done by JKBOPEE and yet registration for provisional merit list. has not started for NEET 2021 students.
Recently JKBOPEE has released roll no. wise list of candidates of UT of Jammu and Kashmir in which about 200 candidates scored above 583.Now comparing it with NEET 2020 only 186 students scored above 583 but we have to consider 54% reservation also for OM candidates this year.
So according to me you will get Government Medical College Anantnag as previous year also a male candidate belonging to the same category got GMC Ananatnag.
You also have good chances of getting
1: GMC Baramulla
2: GMC kathua
3: GMC Rajouri
4: GMC Doda
Now it all depends on your choice. Hope you got the answer.
