As a cardiac perfusionist what will I actually be doing inside an operation theatre ? what will be my per annum salary if I take up this career option ?
Hello Aspirant
Due to the high shortage of Perfusionist they have high demand.
To give you a better idea of just how many people haven’t caught on to a perfusionist career yet
- According to the 2017 annual report from abcp.org, less than 400 people took the perfusion certification exam last year. To put things into perspective, there are 245 million adults in the U.S., and around 90,000 of them take the MCAT every year. Less than 400 people feels pretty small right about now.
Two years ago, a sample was taken from 10 percent of active perfusionists in the field. The study revealed that nearly 50 percent were over 50 years old, and the industry doesn’t have nearly enough new graduates coming in. perfusionists are more in-demand than ever. This means more job opportunities at a higher salary all across the country.
Hope it helps
Thank you

Dear shakshi,
For being Perfusionist, to qualify neet exam is not mandatory. You can get admission in any well reputated college through their entrance exam.As you now-a-days every university or college conduct their own entrance exam so you have to clear that for taking admission.
The minimum eligibility is if you have passed your 12th standard then it will be enough.B.Sc. in Perfusion Technology is a 3- year long, full- time course divided into 6 semesters, with each semester lasting a period of 6 months.
