Yes, with this rank you have chances of getting  cse seat in PESU, Electronic city campus. According to previous year data, the kcet cutoff for cse branch in PESU is around 3700. The PES University will conduct the PESSAT 2022 counselling in two rounds.

During the PESSAT counselling 2022, candidates will first have to register and then fill out their preferred choices of courses.

The pessat is different from the kcet both will not same in terms of exam or counseling

The seat allotment in ECE for 2 nd counseling is very hard inthis scenario if the student will drop or do not submit the allotment order the ranks between the last rank and your rank will be alloted if no one applies for the college then it may be allocated to you

I would suggest that KCET and JEE Mains score is widely expected in colleges across Karnataka for all courses so there should be no requirement to give college specific exams as colleges reserve most of their seats for these exam itself and you will have good enough chances to get a branch and college of your choice through these exams.

Every year PESSAT Cutoffs change significantly as the factors, on which the cutoff rank depends, change yearly. Few factors on which the cutoff rank largely depends are:

• Number of students who applied and appeared for the exam.
• Number of students who qualified for the exam.

However, in order to predict your chances, you can refer to previous years' cutoff trends. In 2019, PESSAT Cutoff Rank prescribed for admission to Electronics and Communication Engineering was 5159 while in 2018, the Cutoff Rank for the same stream was 1646. Since, you have secured a rank of 3640 and as per the trend in 2019, you have a good chance to grab a seat for ECE with ease.

I would suggest better not to participate in the counselling rank with the mentioned rank. As per the past trends, under general merit quota you have descent chances only for Civil engineering. There is also some probability for mechanical engineering but too slim.

See if you have interest in civil engineering, you can go through but if there are plans to participate in hope of any vacant seats or chances in core branches then most probably you will be disappointed. It is not possible to directly participate in round 2 of PES SAT counselling without appearing in round 1. If you are not alloted any seat in first round or desire an upgrade, you will be allowed to participate in second round.

Moreover the amount of rupees 3.4lacs is to be paid only when you accept your offer letter and confirm it. But the counseling fee of 10000 needs to be paid in advanced and is not refundable if a seat is allocated to based upon your preferences no matter you accept it or not.
