I have completed bachelors in bvoc pharmaceutical chemistry and I would like go to masters in health care field..so which is the best option I have got other than MHA and MPH?
Hello,
MHA means Ministry of Home Affairs and MPH means Masters of Public Health.
So you are doing vocational degree in pharmaceutical chemistry. So you can do masters in pharmaceutical chemistry also. And after this you can do work in medicine industry. You also do in medicine company as IT department. Infact you can do work in hospital also. You can do hospital management also. MHA and MPH also good for masters. You can do it for work in health department.
All the best.
how to apply admission for m pharma (pharmaceutical chemistry) in university???? describe the whole process??? how to give exam and all the process???
Hi Dear,
Master of Pharmacy (Mpharma) is a two year postgraduate programme in the field of pharmacy offered by many universities in India. the admission process differs for each university. However, in most of the university the admission is based on the basis of entrance test. GPAT (Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test) and the NIPER JEE are two major exams conducted for admission in this course.

does chemistry ( cy ) include industrial, biochemistry and pharmaceutical chemistry to
Hello, Gate Chemistry with code CY doe snot include the above mentioned courses. You can check out the official syllabus from this link http://www.gate.iitg.ac.in/Syllabi/CY_Chemistry.pdf
While industrial exam is code PI, Biochemistry is XL-Q and gate exam for a pharmacy student is PY.
Hope this helps.
i have done MSc. in pharmaceutical chemistry and i also want to do phd in this subject .Please give me instruction what can i do for applying in csir net and how to quify this exam please guide me.
Hi.
Congratulations on completing your Master Degree.
Now if you pursue PhD in the same field then here are a few universities that you can look into:
- National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Mohali
- University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chandigarh
- Institute of Chemical Technology - [ICT], Mumbai
- Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Science, Manipal
- JSS College of Pharmacy, Nilgiris
When you have completed your PhD there will be job options available as Professors, Forensic Agent, Researcher etc. within salary range 8-10 LPA
However, please consider asking your mentors regarding pursuing PhD. Because more than college, it the presiding professor(under whom you are working in PhD) that matters when pursuing PhD. Such information can only be provided in first hand and being completed Masters degree you should be well exposed to such situations.
If you have a further specific query please feel free to comment.
Best of Luck.
Im studying bvoc pharmaceutical chemistry can i do msc after completion of my degree please reply
Dear aspirant,
Yes, definitely. Its a bachelors degree like any other after which you can do master’s.
MSc Pharmaceutical Chemistry is a 2 years postgraduate chemistry degree course designed to explore the links between disease, mechanism of action and the development of safe, effective commercial drugs.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Graduation must be completed from a recognized university.
- A minimum aggregate score of 50% (45% for SC/ST/OBC candidates) at the level of graduation.
- Candidates awaiting their graduation-level examination’s results are also eligible to apply on a provisional basis.
- There is no age limit for pursuing this course.
I hope it helps.
Best of Luck!
m.sc pharmaceutical chemistry ma fees ketli che..???
Hi Arth,
I am sorry that I would not be able to help you much with your query. You need to mention the name of college or university, then only I can tell you exact fee structure of the M.Sc. Pharmaceutical Chemistry Course.
So, Do comment in comment section and let me know.
Thank You.
which one is in more demand pharmaceutical chemistry or drug chemistry
Hello Malavika
Both disciplines study drugs. Drug chemistry is focused on drug design and chemical synthesis. Pharmaceutical chemistry also studies drug design and synthesis, but takes it a step further with the process of bringing new drugs to market. There are also elements of biomedical analysis and pharmacology in pharmaceutical chemistry. Pharmaceutical chemistry can be considered a more broad area of study because it involves medicinal chemistry and more.
Pharmaceutical Chemistry
At its core, pharmaceutical chemistry is the study and development of new drugs. It involves cures and remedies for diseases, analytical techniques, pharmacology, metabolism, quality assurance, and drug chemistry. Many pharmaceutical chemistry students will later work in a lab. Pharmaceutical chemistry leads to careers in drug development, biotechnology, pharmaceutical companies, research facilities, and more.
Studying pharmaceutical chemistry allows students to contribute to life-saving remedies, enhance the speed of delivery of new medications, and help others. Pharmaceutical chemistry also includes other branches of study such as pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and drug metabolism. These are important for learning the effects that drugs have on the body.
Students will learn the basics of analyzing existing drugs and potential new drugs. Pharmaceutical chemistry courses develop expertise in formulation and drug delivery. Students will learn how to create new drug molecules, formulate drugs, and bring them to market through all stages—pre-clinical, IND application, clinical trials, and so on.
The pharmaceutical chemistry program focuses on non-dispensing areas of pharmacy and is more involved in research aspects than the customer service and patient care responsibilities of a traditional pharmacist.
Drug Chemistry
Drug chemistry blends synthetic organic chemistry, biochemistry, and pharmacology. It focuses on the bio-active molecules and pharmaceutical agents. drug chemistry involves analyzing existing drugs and potential new drugs.
Drug chemistry can be considered a narrower field than pharmaceutical chemistry because its focal point is the chemistry of drugs, from new medicines to illicit substances. Pharmaceutical chemistry, on the other hand, studies drugs and drug discovery, and it covers the process of taking drugs to market.
Medicinal chemists usually work as scientists in lab environments. Each lab is different, but a typical lab and job in medicinal chemistry involves using synthetic organic chemistry skills, analytical instrumentation skills, and an understanding of biology and how drugs work. Other potential career paths include process or formulation chemistry, quality control, or quality assurance. Non-laboratory career possibilities are regulatory affairs, intellectual property, or project management—all of which are potential careers for pharmaceutical chemistry students, as well.
The medicinal chemistry course covers methods used in the synthesis of organic compounds with particular attention to medicinal products and illicit substances. There are modules and discussions that relate to current issues and the synthesis of medicinal products.
Hope it helps you
