most scoring physical chemistry chapters for Jee mains between 2015 to 2022
Hi aspirant,
Chemistry in general is considered to be the most scoring part of JEE main examination. Physical Chemistry is somewhat easier than other two parts because it is mostly numerical based basic ideas of concepts and formula can give you good marks. Talking about the most scoring chapters in physical chemistry that has to be surface chemistry because the concepts are very easy and just practicing the previous year problems would give you very good marks. Apart from this solid state is also quite easy as most of the portion is theory based. Solutions have numerical based upon the basic formula and is considered easy by students. Periodic classification of elements is a theory based chapter and having knowledge of various concepts can fetch you good marks.
Hope it helps!
How much weighatage does physical Chemistry has in JEE MAINS. I mean if I study all chapters of physical Chemistry than how much marks will come in JEE MAINS.
Hello Aspirant! Physical Chemistry in JEE Main is equally important than any other topic as questions come from each and every topic. But physical chemistry probably carries less weightage than organic and inorganic chemistry. Organic chemistry hold the most weightage in chemistry. But it can also depend on the session of your exam and on your luck as it may vary. Someone gets more questions from organic and someone gets more questions from inorganic or physical topic. So it would be better if you study everything thoroughly and not leave any topic behind.
Hope this helps.
How much weighatage does physical Chemistry has in JEE MAINS Chemistry.
Hello dear,
Physical chemistry in jee mains is as important as organic and inorganic chemistry. Apart, every subject has equal importance and weightage in jee mains. It's better if all the topics are done thoroughly.
Moreover, topic wise questions that come in jee are given below,

Can I get more than 100 marks if I study only hifh weighatage chapters in physics ,maths and only physical chemistry.These chapters have weighatage of about 200 marks out of 360 marks as I have seen in NTA.
Dear aspirant !
Hope you are doing great ! Now the jee main paper is of 300 marks ,not 360 and yes by doing high weightage chapters you can score above 100 marks easily . Here is the list of important chapters you need to do.
Maths --
Mathematical reasoning.
Statistics.
Straightline and pane.
Vectors.
A.O.D..
Sets and relations.
Quadratic equations.
***Physics.
* Communication system.
* Semiconductor.
*Gravitation.
*Ktg and thermodynamics.
*E.m.w......
* Magnetism.
* Unit and dimensions.
***Chemistry!
* Polymer.
Biomolecules.
Chemistry in everyday life.
Environmental chemistry.
Solid state.
Chemical kinetics.

These above chapters are very easy to do ,so kill them fast and score 100 +.
Hope it helps you !
Thank you
is it worth it to read physical chemistry in ncert for jee main
Hello there
Yes, of course you should read NCERT for physical chemistry and along with that a little bit higher reference if you can then you should go for it. Now as you must be thinking that physical chemistry isn't that much necessary but it's not like that as you will be getting various questions from it also and most of the questions you can solve by studying NCERT.
I hope it helps you!
Good luck!

2 Fe+ 2 H2O + O2 = 2fe(oh)in the reaction when 56 g of iron if is reacted with 9 grams of water and 4 grams of oxygen how much ferrous oxide is formed?
Hello candidate,
This is an example of balanced chemical Reaction where two moles of iron reacts with two moles of water in the presence of one mole of Oxygen to healed 2 moles of ferrous hydroxide. So, two moles of iron requires two moles of water and one mole of Oxygen, but according do the given quantities it seems that oxygen is the limiting reagent based on the the proportions. So, 4 grams of oxygen means 1 by 4 mole of Oxygen produces 0.5 mole of ferrous hydroxide which is equal to 45 grams.
Hope you found it helpful. If you have any further questions feel free to post it here!!
I havent studied anything of Inorganic chemistry of class 11th. The question is will i able to understand class 12th Inorganic chemistry?? same goes with physical chemistry too
Dear Student,
Yes , you will be able to understand and learn class 12 chemistry even if you haven't studied anything in class 11 chemistry because there is not much link between class 11 and class 12 chemistry.
But then too, my suggestion would be cover some basic topics of 11th, as it will be helpful for you.
Chapters :
1 Chemical Bonding and Molecular Structure (Must to study)
2 Redox Reactions (You can just do the basics of this chapter, this will help you understand reaction mechanism of numerous preparation of organic compounds because most of them are reduction or oxidation reactions.)
3 Organic Chemistry - Some Basic Principles and Techniques (Just the Nomenclature, Isomerism, I effect and R effect should be good enough.)
Topics :
1 Mole Concept (This one is fundamental and easy.)
2 Aromaticity (You will find this one in Unit 13 Hydrocarbons in Section 13.5. These are just some conditions, and if a compound seems to fall under it, it is considered an aromatic compound.)
Happy Learning!
