Characteristics of rate constant
Hello
Rate constant may be defined as the rate of reaction when the concentration of all the substances appearing on the rate law are unity.
Here are the Characteristics of Rate constant :
- It has a constant value for a given reaction at a given temperature
- Its value increases with increase in temperature
- Its value does not depend upon initial concentration
- Faster reactions have higher values of rate constants
- Its unit depends upon the unit of time and concentration and order of reaction
is bharti bhavan publication book RC Mukhrjee good for jee 2020 exam. for physical chemistry. good very good or bad
this book is very good. but go in order.
1. first get the NCERT done.
2. then follow reference books.
3. you can also go for Neeraj PAndey, N. Avasthi they give diversity and plenty of questions.
Proper definition of ferromagnetic , ferrimagnetic and antiferromagnetic substances ?
Hello
- Ferromagnetic Substances - These have all the magnetic domains aligned in one direction and are useful in making permanet magnets. Eg - Iron, Cobalt
- Ferrimagnetic Substances - Have magnetic domains unevenly aligned and show minute net magnetic moment. Eg - Ferrites. These transform into paramagnetic substance above Curie Temperature.
- Antiferro magnetic - Magnetic moments equal and opposite to each other so resultant is zero. Eg - Manganese Oxide and Manganese Dioxide .
Definition and examples are provided above, hope this helps .
