I had PCM in 12th standard , can I apply for being physiotherapist ?
Hello,
Sorry but you need biology as one of the main subject to be eligible for physiotherapy right. Because by taking maths you cannot interpret human body for that biology is good.
The Bachelor in Physiotherapy Course eligibility is that the you should have passed your 12th with 50% marks in the science stream. You must have physics, chemistry, and biology as their compulsory subjects. The admissions are done based on a merit list or entrance exam.
one thing you can do that is you can study biology from open school and then apply for the admission.

For physiotherapy it is definitely not mandatory to give NEET. So there are many good and renown universities in which the general eligibility criteria for pursuing Physiotherapy is to Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology). Further NEET is an entrance exam for admission into MBBS,BDS,BAMS for physiotherapy you need not clear NEET. Go through the website of physiotherapy college or university, where you want to study physiotherapy and see their particular admission process for physiotherapy.
Thanks

Dear aspirant
hope you are doing well. It is difficult to predict because cut off depends upon various factors like
- No of seat available
- No of students apper in exam
- Difficulty level of exam
To get a seat in government medical college for bpth courses are less chance. You have chance in private medical college. You can use neet ug college predictor tool to get your chance in other college.

Can a physiotherapist prescribe medications to the patients?
Hii Richardson,
Hope you are doing good.
You should be knowing that a physiotherapist helps us through their therapies for joint pain, muscle pain, and other therapy related ailments. They can only prescribe medication when working with the written authority of a doctor. A Department of Health consultation exercise envisages them being able to prescribe medication for pain relief and conditions such as asthma and no other common ailments.
I hope this was helpful for you.
Best wishes.
Take care.

Can a Physiotherapist use the Dr prefix in front of his/her name? Is it legal?
Hi..No, it is not legal. Medicine used to be an elite profession not as It is Unfortunate to see that paramedics like physiotherapist are calling themselves 'Doctor' and prescribing medicine and test despite the supreme Court order banning all physios from Affixing the Dr prefix and prescribing tests or scan.
Hope this information useful to you.
i want to be a physiotherapist... but nowadays radiology in demand right?...what should I do?!? plz rply me
Having a skill in Radiology can give you good scopes but that certainly don't mean that Physiotherapist don't have any scope. From a broader perspective, if you go for Physiotherapy then there are also very good scopes in hospital set ups as well as private practice. But as you can see for Radiology you don't get the exposure of private practice. So there are demand of both the fields provided you must have genuine interest on the subject as well as you must acquire skill from it.
