Hi there,

The courses you've mentioned come under paramedical courses. Physiotherapist and MEDICAL LAB TECHNOLOGY are literally two different branches and courses preferred mostly by PCB students after their class 12th.

For choosing the best course let's look into some differences and benefits

For Medical Lab Technology- The course falls under paramedical with a duration of 2-4 years has a great market value for future perspectives. The areas of job and roles offered are in Government/ private hospitals, clinics and Laboratories. The salary is average as compared to a physiotherapist. The initial salary ranges from  1 LPA to 3 LPA. However, his course also provides good opportunities.

For Physiotherapists- Indeed the best and popular courses nowadays. It has gain popularity in recent times. As the need for a physiotherapist increases the employment level also increases suddenly. The duration of this course is around 3-4.5 year's on average. It has decent market value and job scopes for an individual to pursue the course perfectly. The initial salary starts from 1 LPA to 4.5 LPA on average. So, it is better the opportunities are more in jobs.

I hace scored 47.23 percentage in 12th from PCB so can i become physiotherapist???

Subhrajit Mukherjee 28th May, 2021

To be a Physiotherapist you have to pursue the course BPT. For BPT the eligibility criteria is:

  • Should have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 50 percent marks from a recognized institute.

  • Should have completed 10+2 having PCB as compulsory subjects.

  • Candidates should have passed in English.

  • Candidates should have completed the age of 17 years at the time of admission.

As you have less marks in 10+2 then you are ineligible for the course in most of the colleges. But there might be some college which may give you admission but the possibility is very less.

To know more about BPT you may visit the link provided below:

How sociology helps to physiotherapist

Pankhuri Kumari 16th Mar, 2021
Hii!
Sociology directly links to understanding associations of people, groups, and their behaviour. Physiotherapy relates to healing touch with different exercises and treatments. So, the relation between sociology and physiotherapy is quite evident.  If the doctor is socially Interactive or apt, he/ she will be automatically be able to understand the pain, discomfort, etc., Of the patient. This will make him/her efficient, and will help in providing better treatment to the people.
Hope this helps.
Good luck!

which is better physiotherapist or b pharmacy?

Gbharath Raj 1st Dec, 2020

Hello applicant,

*If you are interested in medicine and research medicines you should choose B. pharma and if you interested in physiotherapy then choose this. See choosing a course is totally depends on your interest. Both the fields are totally different.

*B. Pharma graduate deals with Medicines and Research on medicines whereas a Physiotherapist helps patients with Muscular dysfunctioning. As such looking at both the professions both have immense scope in the future.

*Since Medicine is a daily requirement and people all around face some or the other muscular issue right from fracture to back pain etc, so a visit to a Physio is must. Both have the advantage of beginning on their own. Only a Pharmacists after Graduation, needs to obtain their Pharmacy Licence and can begin their own medical store.

Hope the answer is helpful.
