I got 73% in 12th board exams ...can i get a better college in pmsss counclling and also i belong to RBA category of backward class
Hey Aspirant,
If you would have mentioned your Board then I could tell you even more clear but yeah 73% is not that bad as also you belong to backward category so yeah there are chances that your name will come in any of the cutoffs in pmss counselling so wait and keep yourself updated by regularly visiting their official website.
Hope this helps,
All the best and Thank you!
why there is discrimination with medical students, non med. students are getting colleges even without qualifying any entrance on the basis of there percentage in pmsss but for med. students, they have to qualify neet to get admission in MBBS or BDS ?
Hi!
Let me clear the air of all the doubts here. As per the previous year datas, around 13.26 lakh students appear for NEET every year and there are only around 66000 MBBS and BDS seats across India. Therefore a screening test for the best deserving students are totally necessary which is the reason why National Eligibility Entrance Examinations are held every year. You can't possibly give everyone a seat. This is why there are allotment procedures and counselling held.
Hope your queries are cleared.
Have a great day!
is physiotherapy course is available under pmsss ???
Dear gunjan ,
Yes ,physiotherapy course is available under PMSSS and we will discusses briefly for better clarification .
PMSSS AICTE PRIME MINISTER’S SPECIAL SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME (PMSSS) FOR 10+2 STUDENTS OF JAMMU & KASHMIR AND LADAKH -ONLINE REGISTRATION FOR ACADEMIC YEAR 2020-21. PMSSS is meant for helping J&K and Ladakh youths, who are willing to enter into Under-Graduate programme in Engineering & Technology, Pharmacy, Nursing, Hotel Management & Catering Technology, Architecture, Arts, Crafts & Design, Medical and General Degree etc.
As per above mentioned Physiotherapy is also under the Medical programmes so it also under the PMSSS.
hope it will helpful
thanks
A very good evening sir\mam. I had recently passed my 10+2 with 89.8% (jkbose) can i get the bvsc course seat through the pmsss. And is Neet required for the bvsc through pmsss?
PMSSS is a Prime Ministers Special Scholarship Scheme. This is not an entrance examination or an alternative for NEET. If you want to study B.V.Sc NEET is a mandatory entrance examination. PMSSS only gives Scholarship for pursuing Education. And NEET is a National Level Entrance examination for admission to MBBS, BDS, Ayush and Veterinary Courses across India. So for studying B.V.Sc, you should appear for NEET. And to be eligible for NEET, you should have completed your 12th, passed in all subjects and secure a minimum aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. It is 50% for General Category, 45% for PWD and 40% for OBC,SC,ST. Now if you belong to OBC Category, the Category you belong to should be also listed in the Central OBC list. Or else you will be considered as General Category and so you have to secure a minimum aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. This 50% is inclusive of the Theory and Practical marks scored in Physics, Chemistry and Biology collectively. You needn't score 50% in Physics, 50% in Chemistry and 50% in Biology separately. You need an aggregate of 50% or 40% depending on your Category as an aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. And along with Physics, Chemistry and Biology, you should also have studied English as one of the core subjects in your 12th.

Junaid, under PMSSS, according to the brochure available at: https://www.aicte-india.org/sites/default/files/brochure2021.pdf , for Professional courses upto 1.25 lakhs and for maintenance charges upto 1 lakh is allotted for Candidates as scholarship. The rest will have to borne by the Student.
