Is There Any Scope In Chemical and Polymer Technology In India?
hii
In India, a drastic growth has been seen in courses dedicated to polymer science. A lot of new courses either diploma or degree which deals with polymers, its sub-branches like rubbers, plastics, tires, bio-polymers, textiles, packaging, etc and related fields like material science has been started. The pass outs of these courses are the priority of industries. As Polymer Science is an interdisciplinary subject, it has association with almost every other subject and industries. Hence, undergraduates from other fields can also opt it as their career. It has a huge potential in the job-market as well as R&D. An average bachelor of science, or a diploma holder can easily get 12000–15000 rupees per month. Post-graduation and Postgraduate diploma increases the chance of growth.
The best thing is that it has the maximum number of small scale industries, which is an indication of the ease of setting up one’s own company. The universities are also demanding well qualified teachers having polymeric backgrounds.
Consider the below mentioned expansion of POLYMER.

This expansion suits so well with the current scenario. Polymer isn’t a new field, but the knowledge, classification and study about it is new.
I want to conclude by saying that polymers will soon become the largest revenue maker of any govt. and will become the highest job providing sector.
hope this helps
I completed my diploma in mechanical engineering.. bt I want to take plastic and polymer engineering.... am I right ? Or not ?
Sneha
Yeah You can do the polymer engineering I am suggesting You to do this only if Your really interested else please donot go through branch

If Im not getting chemicalengineering in a particular college, but getting chemical technology fields(eg.surface coating)what should i pick?
Hey! Hi Gaus Pasha.
See, it completely depends on your INTEREST and desire for which college you want to go.
You may go for ALLIED CHEMICAL BRANCHES since they have their own scope.
Hope this helps you.
Thanks.
I have got 84 in maths out of 100 chem-85/100,physics-72/100Will I get a seat in rubber and plastic technology in Anna university?
Hello Boghara, Thanks for reaching to us.
Admission is done on the basis of TNEA, not just 12 marks. The aggregate score is made. For more information please visit https://annauniversitybe.info/TNEA-2017/anna-university-cut-off-2017-college-wise.php

What are the best colleges for polymers science and technology?Does NIT offer this course?
Some top colleges inclide:-
DTU Delhi
MIT Pune
BIT Jaipur
University of Calcutta
Cochin University of Science and Technology
HiTS Tamil Nadu
VTU Karnataka
Unfortunately, none of the NITs and IITs do offer Polymers Engineering as prospective Specialization as it has been niche and finds very few limited companies.
All above are recommended colleges with decent Placements with best curriculum.
Job opportunities into Research and Development, Public and Private Sectors, Minsitry of Petroleum and Natural Gas into roles like Purchase officer, Project manager, Onfield engineer, Quality inspector, Plant Manager, etc.
Is there any course like rubber technology?
Yes, it is a branch of Engineering. Basically it deals with transforming natural rubber to useful product.
There are very less students who are aware of this branch with the increase of rubber in industries it has become one of the good career option with growth in the future.
You can find good option for job in both private as well as public sector.
Average salary package for freshers in this field is around 2.5 lakhs to 3.5 lakhs per annum.
You can check the colleges in this field below
Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur
Madras Institute of Technology, Chennai
LD College of Engineering, Ahmedabad
Gujarat Technological University, Ahmedabad
Good Luck!!
chemicale eng...branche.kaasi ha..or gov job and b.tech salarey
There are multiple chemical engineering job opportunities for the chemical engineers of India. You can get the jobs like chemical engineer in many industries, chemical research field, chemical manufacturer, chemical supplier, chemical designer, space fuel processor, uranium recycler, genetic pharmer, vertical agricultural engineer. The average salary is arround 4 to 5,00000 per year.
Which should i choose chemical in polymer and plastic at bit mesra or ece in mit alandi.
If you have specific interest related to branch you should choose the college according to that.
If we compare both the colleges than you should go for BIT Mesra as it has overall good ratings and it provides good placements.
If you want to compare both the colleges than you can refer below link
