yes. Pondicherry engineering college is one of the best college for mechanical, electrical and for civil branches you will get strong theoretical knowledge and good practical exposure. It's really hard to get any NIT or IIIT with your rank even if you try to get admission through state quota. There would be some chance to get NIT Nagaland but it's not sure. Now if you get pondicherry engineering college through state quota you may get the Institution within 7th round of counseling. But if you need to apply through AIQ or all India quota it would be difficult. Getting through state quota will also be difficult. Be patient and see what happens till round 7. But getting top branches like CSE or ECE is impossible.
