If you are interested about software, computers then CSE for you but if not then you can go for production engineering. Kalyani offers great placement opportunities to students in top companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Wipro, TCS, etc with an average salary package of INR 8 to 10 LPA. The highest can go up to INR 40 LPA while Jadavpur offers placement to students in companies like Mercedes, Bajaj and PSUs like GAIL and others. Vishwakarma institute pune is a good institute but Production Engineering branch is not such a developed branch in India as of now. The placements of this department is the lowest among all the BTech programmes, The placement percentage is around 10 to 15%. The highest package is around 7 lpa (if you have a very good cgp and you have extra skills from courses online along with internships etc). If you think you can be that one person who can manage to get the placement and that you will work hard and focus only on that one opportunity then you can go ahead with it. If possible then you can also take a drop and prepare well to get a better subject in a better institute. That being said, even if you do not get placed you can manage to get a job in the govt sector or in banking etc through competitve examinations.
