production engineering course - will it useful for a good career
Hi Saijith,
Yes, Production Engineering is a useful course for a better career. This unique branch of engineering takes a balanced approach between manufacturing technology and management science. It deals with integrated design and efficient planning of the entire manufacturing system, which is becoming increasingly complex with the emergence of sophisticated production methods and control systems.
You can be employed by manufacturing industries, automobile industries, management consultancies, construction industries, jewellery industries, refining industries, and service industries after doing this course. The top recruiters are National Thermal Power Corporation, Indraprastha Gas Limited, Aditya Birla, Cairn India, Larsen & Toubro, Reliance Industries and Sterlite Industries.

which is best production engineering in GCT COIMBATORE or EEE in Anna university regional campus Coimbatore?
Hello student. Both of them are different set of branches. EEE deals with elctricals and etc. Where as production engineering deals with machines and all. So, find your intrest first. Which one are you more intrested in.
Even though physics is the common subject in these both, there are different fields in both of them. In the case of answer to your question, I would suggest eee because there is a higher scope and better opportunities. Production engineering is still a developing field in our country. So there are lesser opportunities here.
what is the cutoff needed to join GCT COIMBATORE in production engineering and industrial biotechnology course for tnea 2020?
Hello
bmkdskrosi640 , The cutoff for tnea 2020 is not mention by the college but if we take average of some previous year rank than it is about 6000 to 7000 in production engineering and for industrial biotechnology is about same as production engineering 6000-7000 but for accurate information please wait some time.
hope it will be helpful for you :)
which is best production engineering or industrial biotechnology in GCT COIMBATORE? which course is scopefull for future?
Hello
bmkdskrosi640
, Both the streams are equally good and it depends upon your interests and passion what you want to pursue. As far as placement is concerned, Production Engineering is great option in present while Industrial Biotechnology has brighter future.
And if we talk about the courses in GCT college than both are good so take course on the basis of your interest because placement and all are equal in that college.
Hope it will be helpful for you :)
What is production engineering? What are the future prospects of it and which University will give the best placements?
Hi there,
Production engineering is branch of engineering which deals with the stuffs quite similar to mechanical engineering, like vehicles, levers pulleys etc.
Production engineering has not a good scope in India as it is often called as Jr. Mechanical engineering in the colleges.
Still if get this branch in the TOP IITs like Delhi, Mumbai or Kanpur etc then go for it other wise no use to opting this branch.
I hope this help
I got Production engineering in Jadavpur university. should I go for upgradation or lock this choice or wait for upcoming rounds? Please answer quickly.. I am highly tensed
What was your rank? I also rank 13k in wbjee and I'm SC category
which is best ECE in Anna university regional campus-COIMBATORE or production engineering in GCT COIMBATORE?
First of all you should decide in which field you are most interested in either EC or production Engineering. As EC deals with electronic and there is need for coding in this. EC branch has a large scope in future you can crack a good placement in Computer Science company also if you work hard on communication and coding skills. EC also offer government jobs . It's placement is very good it is ranked after Cs ,It branches.
While in production Engineering you learn manufacturing and management skills . It is also a good branch but there are not so many companies like in EC . So I would recommend you to take Ece in Anna University or if you are interested in management and machine you can take up production Engineering. Hope it will help you. https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer
which is the best CIVIL in GCE-SALEM or PRODUCTION ENGINEERING in GCT-COIMBATORE or MECH in Anna university regional campus-COIMBATORE? which has more scope in future?
Dear Aspirant,
All the branches you have mentioned are witnessing a drop in the placements in the recent years, especially mechanical and civil are having lowest placements.
I suggest that if you are not interested in the civil engineering then go with PRODUCTION ENGINEERING. It is a specification of the mechanical engineering and therefore have more job orientation than the parent branch,
Hope this helps. Thank you.
which is the best option CIVIL ENGINEERING in GCE-SALEM or PRODUCTION ENGINEERING in GCT- COIMBATORE?
Dear Aspirant,
The first thing you should consider is the two branches are really different and have different job prospects. The civil engineering jobs are very few in the market and are limited to the government sectors. So if you want to pursue government sectos jobs which are limited then you should opt for civil engineering,
However, Production engineering has a good number of jobs as compared to Civil engineering and the current market when restored post COVID will have even more opportunities for the production engineering so If you want then you should go with Production.
Hope this helps. Thank you.
