By proficiency in English does it mean 4 core subjects plus English or 4 core subjects plus english and an additional subject as there r 6 subs in state boards

Hello there
It totally depends on college which courses marks they conclude for the admission and it also depends upon the course .Mostly best 5 subject are being considered including the one subject that is pursued by the candidate.
One language core subject is concluded. And one elective language is concluded.
This can be better understood from the college perspective.
