Hello Bhanu,
I hope you are doing well. As per your query, you have completed your B.Tech. in ECE and you wish to pursue Project or Buisness Management in Canada. After doing a lot of research we have found that more oppotunities are available in Project management as compared to buisness management in Canada. At the same time you can keep buisness management as a alternative.
Following are the key features of project management:
So, project management (https://www.pmi.org/about/learn-about-pmi/what-is-project-management) is the use of different approaches, tools, and techniques to manage a project. A project manager, then, is someone who manages this process from beginning to end.
Project managers work in different industries in Canada and around the world: construction and engineering, financial services, information technology (IT), law, healthcare etc. They are of great value for businesses.
Here are some of the ways project managers can help companies:
- Save time and money by carefully mapping out projects
- Improve communication by keeping it clear and effective
- Manage risks and solve problems by analyzing trends and planning ahead
Hope this will help you to pursue your dream career. And all the best for your future endeavours.
Thanks with Regards.

what is the difference between mba in construction management and mba in project management???or is it same?? which of these mba do you think is suitable for a civil engineer??
I wouldnt say Construction Management and Project Management are same, but they are comparable courses and support your Engineering Degree preferably in Construction/Civil Engineering with aspects of Management. The basic Difference is, after MBA in Project Management, you have wider scope and impetus regarding career prospects, be it PSUs, Mining & Metals Industry, Automobile Industry or Infrastructure & Energy Industry, whereas Construction Management limits your career scope to Civil/Construction/Infrastructure Sectors.
I am a civil engineering student, after completion of B.Tech can i do architecture course or better to go in other stream like project management.
Hey,
Well, you can definitely pursue architecture course after graduation if that is what you wish to do in future. Also you can get into Project Management as well but I suggest you should work hard in your own stream assuming you have not lost your interest in the field. Don't ever fall into false claims by anyone that such and such field is very good or you can make more money in a particular branch. Your passion must drive you. There are many engineers who go for MBA and excel in that field as well while some stick to their streams and do M.TECH instead. Many civil engineers grab government jobs as well and there are some who prefer becoming IT professionals rather than willing to go to "construction sites"!
So what I would suggest is follow your passion, choose a field in which you are most comfortable working.
Hope it Helps!
Best Wishes
