Hi, I am studying in BTech (Mechanical) I am interested in persuing MBA in project management and want to opt for project manager/head in future which requires PMP certification (Requirement 3yrs experience ) so what should I prefer a full time MBA or MBA through distance learning
A suggestion that we would like to make is that you work for a couple of years. The reason being, once you start working it will expose you to the real demands of the industry and it also gives you the chance to understand what you are really good at. This will train you know your own skill sets and then your decision will be much more focused.
If you join an MBA program before gaining any working experience than there is a possibility that you could be doing the wrong program. It is important to understand that it is not the profession that guarantees you success in your career but the ability to match your education with your talent and passion. For example Project Management requires constant decision making and man management skills - if you are averse to both then PM will become a difficult job to execute and that in turn will bring down your employability. We don’t want any of this happen!
Good luck!
