The placements in PSG Tech is almost equal to the NITs.. For your information, PSG Tech is ranked 12th in India among all the engineering colleges . We get a good set of recruiters visiting regularly. Refer to this recruiter list. The list of recruiters as you see are huge MNCs and have very good career growth for the candidates who get placed. The job profile they offer after an year of training is equal to the people getting recruited from NITs and IITs. The highest salary offered is around 20 lacs pa (in 2014 batch) for Computer Science Engg graduates. Anyhow it depends on industry and the stream you are in. But the top 40% of the students in each department get very competitive and challenging roles in their respective industries. The average salary of a batch is close to 4.5 lacs. Many recruiters offer salary for people in the range of 3.2 to 3.8 lacs.

PSG college of Technology and PSG Institute of Management are two different colleges and they take admissions separately for their MBA courses from TANCET scores. Both are located in Coimbatore but are separate entities and their cutoffs are also very different

Congratulations on your TANCET score. But unfortunately, you may not get a seat in PSG college with your score and rank. It needs a cut off 53+ in TANCET to be sure about PSG. You can try for Easwari Engineering College, Chennai.
How it will affect my placements after completing MBA in reputed clg like PSGIM, TSM. I am B. Sc graduate with only 50% in my ug?
Prospects are pretty bright to say the least, still I would like you to know that after completing MBA from one of the creme de creme college your Bsc wont help you a lot as your MBA degree would be more than sufficient to prove your credentials. Moreover if you are someone who is looking for admissions for MBA then believe me my friend you have better chances to get into top notch IIMS than others, as you would be getting diversity points.

If you fall in SC category then you have good chances of getting into PSG Institute of Management becuse their TANCET cutoff for MBA for SC category students lies below 30. So you have high chances of getting it.
