I want to be a physics researcher and want to go study abroad where I can find my dream college and university with noteworthy salary please give me a little bit information about it
Greetings!
If you aspire to become a physics researcher and study abroad, several countries offer excellent opportunities. The United States is known for top-notch universities like MIT, Stanford, and Harvard, with cutting-edge research facilities in physics. These institutions often provide opportunities to work with renowned researchers and offer competitive salaries for postgraduate researchers.
In Europe, countries like Germany and Switzerland have prestigious universities such as ETH Zurich and Max Planck Institute, known for their strong emphasis on physics research. The United Kingdom, with institutions like Cambridge and Oxford, also boasts a rich academic tradition in physics.
When considering where to pursue your dream, it's crucial to look into the specific programs and faculty in each university, ensuring they align with your research interests. Additionally, explore scholarship opportunities, as they can help ease financial concerns. Research output, collaborations, and industry connections of the university should be considered too. Ultimately, finding the right fit involves a mix of academic reputation, available resources, and the overall environment that will support your journey towards becoming a successful physics researcher.
how to become a researcher after completeing Integrated msc in basic science- biology?
Hello,
Be clear about your dreams before anything else. A strong interest in theoretical and practical knowledge is necessary to succeed as a research scientist. After earning your MSc in biology, you can take a number of challenging tests to be admitted as a PhD student and eventually work as a research scientist. Several of them are.:-
- Csir net life science
- Dbt jrf
- Gate
- Entrance exams of specific universities, BHU,DU,MDU etc
Thank You
Im in pcm group, 12 std right now. I am very interested in being a researcher so I want to know what I should do to be one and what should be my main focus while preparing for it.
If you want to be a researcher then you need to do PhD and then add on your research experience in different research institutes. Now if you wish to be a researcher, the first thing is that in which area you will do research, is to be decided for you. If you want to go for pure sciences such as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry etc then you have to do the BSc and MSc in the subject of your choice and after the MSc or BSc you have to qualify some entrance for the admission to the course of PhD or Integrated PhD respectively. If you go for the Engineering sciences, then you have to complete BTech or BE and the procedure is somewhat the same.
So as you are in 12th, you need to realize what is the field you are the most interested in and pursue a degree in that program.
Some of the top PhD entrances are-
- NET
- TIFR GS
- JEST
- IIT JAM

If you want to be a Biological Scientist then you need to study Physics, Chemistry & Biology course in your 10+2 and then you have to follow the science courses related to Biology such as Microbiology, Zoology, Botany, Genetics etc. But once you go to higher studies, the use of mathematical tools like Statistics, Arithmetic and Algebra will be required. I want to be a scientist, a researcher. Im a mbbs student. What are the career options opened for me after mbbs to be a scientist? Im interested in theoritical field. Experimental as well. I want to learn about the different options available? Details.
Hi,
For going in any research field you have to complete the masters degree first then you can go into that field. So, if you want to become doctor first then you must do your MBBS. Otherwise if you are not having that aim then you can do B.Sc. If you do B.Sc then you will have one year less than MBBS and getting chance for M.Sc is easier than M.D.
After MBBS, Various institutes that offer research opportunities are ICMR(Indian Council for Medical Research), CIMAP, CCMB(Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology), St. John's Research institute. One can also join WHO. Many institutes like AIIMS, PGI, NIMHANS, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai (TIFR) offer a Ph.D. degree.
There are two ways to switch over to research leading to Ph.D. for meritorious MBBS graduates.
The main option is to get admission to a three-year medical postgraduate programme (MD or MS). Thereafter one can go for medical research leading to Ph.D. Besides this, a few research institutions admit meritorious medical graduates directly for research programmes.
For example, Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology under the Government of India functioning at Poojappura, Thiruvananthapuram, offers major research programme in disease biology and molecular medicine as well as plant biotechnology and discovery. First class (with 60 per cent marks) MBBS degree holders are also eligible for admission. This Ph.D. programme is affiliated to the University of Kerala. Those having a valid research fellowship from UGC- CSIR or ICMR, category A of Department of Biotechnology are eligible to receive fellowships.
Medical Science and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram, Jawaharlal Institute for Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Puducherry, Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh and Christian Medical College, Vellore provide research facilities leading to Ph.D.
I hope this helps you.
All the Best.
I have opted for Humanities in class 12(ISC board) . I have the following subjects : Geography, History, Political Science and Economics besides English. I want to pursue MSc in Geography amd not MA and want to become a Researcher. Is it possible to go ahead without Mathematics?
MSc Geography course you need to have BSc Geography course which requires you to have Mathematics compulsorily as a subject in your 10+2. So without Mathematics you can't do MSc Mathematics.
Now doing MA Geography also you can pursue your dream of being researcher. Not all the researchers in Geography are from the science background. During the PhD interviews & entrance, both MSc & MA graduates gives the same paper. So don't worry about that, if being a researcher is your dream then MA/MSc don't matter. The important thing that is required is your will power regarding the subject you are studying.
