There would be no problem in applying for integrated Mtech program at Vellore institute of technology even if 12th results are not out yet.

VIT gives it's candidates an option to upload documents at anytime on it's portal before the counseling starts. Admissions are granted on the basis of entrance examination conducted and the students are allowed to book slots by paying a minimum fee.

Note- You must fulfill the basic eligibility criterias when the higher secondary results are announced else you will be disqualified from the institution.

Based on previous year's cut-offs it can be said that with your CMR 832 Rank you can't get preferred course B.Ftech, as you said you belong to General Category.

The previous year's cut-offs for B.Ftech course in NIFT Chennai are given below.

2018 Closing Rank - 332

But you have good chances of getting other courses like Textile Designing, Apparal Designing, Knitwear, Leather Designing etc as their cutoff is between 900 to 1800. I d on't think so you can change your caste at this point of time because you already got ranks. But you can try for it by contacting helpdesk team given in the official website.

Hope you are doing great, regarding the gitam result as the exam has been rescheduled because of the pandemic the results will also be delayed as the exam have been shifted to 22 MAY to 26 MAY then you can expect the result in mid of june or on first week of july as it will take some time regarding the same.
