There are no minimum eligibility requirements for appearing in the FRM exam. However, in order to be certified as a Financial Risk Manager, the following are required:
- A passing score on the FRM Examination
- Active Fellow membership in the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP)
- A minimum of two years’ experience in the area of financial risk management or another related field including, but not limited to, trading, portfolio management, academic or industry research, economics, auditing, risk consulting, and/or risk technology

Banaras Hindu University accepts only CAT percentile as basis for admission. For the 2019-21 batch cut off announced for FMS BHU was 85 percentile for General category. Once the candidate is eligible to be listed on the basis of cutoff, candidates who are shortlisted would be called for a GD and then finally an Interview. 50 percent weightage is given to the CAT scores. 30 percent to rest of selection procedure and 20 percent on your previous academic record.
