i dont have the nc obc certificate as it take long time to update. instead of that certificate should i submit the cetificate that claims im comes under nc obc [availabe on cat website] for now to fill the form plz answer

monag2673 8th Sep, 2024

If your Non-Creamy Layer (NC-OBC) certificate is delayed, you can still fill out the CAT form using the provisional certificate available on the CAT website, which declares that you fall under the NC-OBC category. This temporary certificate is provided for candidates facing delays in obtaining the updated certificate. However, you will be required to submit the official, updated NC-OBC certificate during the selection process or interviews.

Ensure that the provisional certificate is correctly filled out, and keep track of when your updated certificate will be issued, as failing to present the official document during later stages could impact your category-based claims for admission. Most institutions will accept this provisional certificate for the purpose of application submission, but it is important to meet all final documentation requirements by the time of admission.

Check the CAT guidelines and the institution's specific instructions regarding such documents to avoid any discrepancies .

I graduated from HR College in Mumbai which comes under HSNC University but while filling the CAT form i forgot to select others and type the university name and instead selected Mumbai University as the college is affilaited with them. What should i do know ...will this affect my admission process?

Hridaya Rao 2nd Sep, 2024
Hello Aspirant,
Common Aptitude Test (CAT) is a national-level exam, for MBA Programmes to get admissions in top management institutions in the country such as IIM's. Filling CAT Form is very crucial as the IIM selection and admission process will depend on this form. The IIM CAT 2024 registration process has started and the last date to apply is September 13.
The important point to note here is that the CAT application form cannot be edited once it is submitted.
Only certain fields can be edited that too when the CAT form correction window opens. Candidates can make changes in their CAT 2024 application form for free of cost when the form correction window opens. Candidates can only edit three fields photograph, signature and test city preference.

Once the CAT application form is submitted, candidates are not allowed to make changes in it. In case, you've made errors, you need to fill a fresh CAT application form and pay the fees again.

Thankyou.

*BSc MLT:*

1. _Job role_: Medical laboratory technicians conduct tests, analyze samples, and detect diseases.

2. _Scope_:

- High demand in hospitals, diagnostic centers, and research labs.

- Opportunities in government and private sectors.

- Can pursue higher studies like MSc MLT or specialized courses.

3. _Salary_:

- Initial salary: Rs 20,000 - Rs 30,000 per month.

- Experienced professionals: Rs 50,000 - Rs 80,000 per month.

1. _Job role_: Occupational therapists help patients develop skills for daily living, work, and leisure activities.

2. _Scope_:

- Growing demand in hospitals, rehabilitation centers, schools, and community health organizations.

- Opportunities in government and private sectors, NGOs, and international organizations.

Consider the following factors to decide between BSc MLT and BOT:

1. _Interest_: Choose the field that aligns with your passion and skills.

2. _Job environment_: MLT involves working in laboratories, while OT involves working with patients in various settings.

3. _Growth prospects_: Both fields have growth opportunities, but OT might have more diverse settings and roles.

Is TFWS based on first-come-first basis in the CAP rounds? If yes, if a student having 91%tile gets the TFWS and the TFWS seats get full, and a 92%tile candidate comes in later on, will they get TFWS in that same college? Please help, its urgent.

Tanya Gupta 26th Jul, 2024

Hello,

TFWS (Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme) seats are allocated based on merit and eligibility, not solely on a first-come-first-served basis. However, there are some nuances:

1. Merit-based allocation: TFWS seats are allocated to eligible candidates based on their merit (percentage or rank) in the CAP (Centralized Admission Process) rounds.

2. Availability of seats: If TFWS seats are filled in a particular college, further eligible candidates will not be allocated TFWS seats in that college, even if they have a higher merit score.

3. Waitlist: If a candidate with a higher merit score (like the 92%ile candidate in your example) is not allocated a TFWS seat due to unavailability, they might be placed on a waitlist.

4. Vacancy-based allocation: If a TFWS seat becomes vacant due to a candidate's withdrawal or non-reporting, the waitlisted candidate with the next highest merit score might be allocated the seat.

In your scenario:

· The 91%ile candidate gets the TFWS seat initially.

· If TFWS seats are full, the 92%ile candidate will not get a TFWS seat in the same college, even if they have a higher merit score.

· However, the 92%ile candidate might be placed on a waitlist and allocated the seat if a vacancy arises later.

Hope this helps,

Thank you

Sir my WBJEE 2024 SC Rank is 11800 but 1st counselling seat allotment latter comes in General Rank. What is the procedure for checking SC Rank.

Abhishek 24th Jul, 2024

Hi there,

Congrats on getting 11800 rank in the wbjee examination.

Getting a seat in the general category in the first round of the counselling shows that while choice filling and filling the registration form you may have wrongly chosen the category as general instead of your preferred quota. This has resulted you in the seat allotment in the wrong category.

To further change the reservation quota during the ongoing counselling is not possible, you can visit the official website of the wbjee and then check the norms and the procedures related to the counselling.

You can visit its website and then check all the details regarding the participation in the counselling and other related issues which will give you a clear idea about what to do next.

Hope this resolves your  query.
