will the NTA give 1 month extra for neet 2021 students as due to lockdown all coaching institutes and schools are closed?

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 28th May, 2020
Hi

NEET 2021 is expected to be conducted in May 2021 only hopefully i.e NTA will not give extra months .

But yes you may have to cover less syllabus  for neet 2021 i.e syllabus may be reduced for neet 2021.
This is because
Due to lockdown caused by covid-19 break, educational institution like schools, coachings etc are not able to take classes and it has become really difficult for students to complete the syllabus , so education ministers of various States along with Delhi's Manish sisodia have requested to reduce the syllabus by 30%, if it gets implented then NEET 2021 syllabus will get reduced by 30%.

Thankyou

I am worried about my bst exam i am a private student and now CbSE is saying students will have exams in their schools where will I have my exam?plsss help

Ayush Anand 21st May, 2020

Hello ,

Your exam will be held in your own school from where you have studied 12th or attended classes .

If you are a student who belongs to non attending category . You must be enrolled in a school and you must have got an admit card from that school . So , your examination will be held in the same school from where you got your admit card and if there is any confusion you should contact in the school where you are enrolled .

Hope this will help you.

Thanks

which university is good for Ba economics symbiosis schools of eco or symbiosis arts n commerce college?? in terms of placements n reputation n ranking

S. Saha Student Expert 27th Jun, 2020

Symbiosis School of Economics offers Bachelor or Science in Economics while Symbiosis College of arts and Commerce offers Bachelor of arts in Economics. Here it makes a big difference. So if you are asking about Ba economics then definitely Symbiosis College of Arts and Commerce would be recommended. Even if we keep this BSc and BA thing, then also Symbiosis College of Arts and Commerce would be best. This college has good faculties and placement is quite decent. Deloitte is one of the recruiters.

I got 80 percentile in jee main. and my home state is bihar. but I have passed 10th and 12thin chandigarh schools. can I meet a nit college. or prefer which college is best for me. I belong to obc background.

harsh Student Expert 17th May, 2020

Hello dear

With this percentile you may qualify for jee advanced , but it might be difficult for you to get admission in a good college( good ranking NIT ,IIIT)  with this percentile .

You will get state College or city college with this percentile and also some of the low ranking NIT in the special rounds if any seat available in special rounds.

And it is fine ,you can do your 12th from anywhere but you must be in the eligibility criteria and here i am providing you the college predictor link where you can see that in which college you have a fair chance.:

There are also some examination that students are normally encouraged in few schools like NTSE, KVPY etc. Do you actually follow encourage the students to take NTSE examination, KVPY examination & prepare them for that?

We do a lot & encourage the children participating in NTSE & other examination even if children are prepared, We do provide the children support also but not for everybody, We make it optional for students those who want to appear such examination. There is not structured programme for it but we do offer to support the children those who are preparing for the examination. At higher level we also extend for the support of SAT examination. We do have NDA academy & coaching support. But we want to bring up leaders coming up with lot of values that’what the future of the society that we encourage the students go for such kind of training.

How does schools help students to decide the path and subjects they choose in class 11th? What is your advice to students and parents on how they should select the correct path?

Children need to understand their skills and what they are good at. When they will evaluate their skills and interest, automatically they will have more clarity. There is peer pressure, parental pressure, but now students are realising that there is scope in every subject. I feel that children need to contemplate and find out about their skills and interests as early as possible. Schools should expose children about what are the areas, skills required for different professions.

What a child wants to do is very important. Parents should also give time to their children and discuss with them. Parents should talk to the children and find out what they are good at. Avenues are open today. Children can work in music, arts, photography, or anything they want to do. It is about identifying the passion and parents should understand not to impose anything on the children. Parents should also be given counselling in schools. From 8th standard onwards, children need to be told about the professions and skill attributes of different professionals, etc. Children should be proud of what they are doing.

How schools must be judged by any parent while deciding the best school for their child?

I  think, it's not just about gathering the academic knowledge, transformation in children should also happen in school. For example, if a student has learnt biology and becomes a very good medical student then that student performs a wrong surgery just to make money, so unless the transformation happens the society cannot get better at all. I feel that COVID has brought a big lesson for everybody in the society because we keep talking about children getting transformed, getting value based education but how will children get value unless he sees it in society. Whatever we teach in the classroom, they think it is for scoring marks even for value education. They try to score 98 in that. Students don't think that it needs to be applied outside. What's wrong is that there are no role models in society.

At Chinmaya Mission Trust, we believe strongly in the personality transformation of the child. We want that our student should stand out in the crowd well rooted with  the values that he has learnt and he will not compromise with the values.

It is also written in Bhagavad Gita that elders in the society need to set an example for students. So, a lot of responsibility lies with the schools, teachers, parents, all of us have to communicate this to the children. And this period has brought in a big lesson for the adults also. Children have to be taught about mindful eating and not eating junk food. In science lessons, we teach students about communicable diseases, prevention but nobody was bothering. It was all lying in the books and students writing it in the examination. Today, all of us are getting a lesson on eating habits, maintaining cleanliness, and yoga. At Chinmaya Mission Trust, we give a lot of importance to the physical aspect of the child. Body has to be prepared for learning. In earlier times, students were made to come out of the comfort zone to be ready to learn and nowadays, focus is completely on academics. After COVID, think a complete rejuvenation is going to happen to the education system.

Ive done my BA LLB Honors from IP University. I wish to do B.Ed from Delhi University and teach history as a subject in schools. Is it possible? If else, what other options do I have?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 3rd Jun, 2020

B.Ed is a Professional course that one can pursue after Graduation to take up Teaching as a profession. You can teach in Schools after your B.Ed. But to teach History in Schools, you should have had History as a subject in your Graduation. If BA LLB does have that, you can teach History in schools based on your B.Ed degree.
