Which is best in these three : 1. Sastra University 2. KL University 3. Parul University
Hello Aspirant,
All the three Universities mentioned are good and diverse in their own terms and fields and it is very difficult to make a firm statement like that. However, based on experiences shared by students studying in these universities and other factors like ratings, placement reports, etc. it can be concluded that Sastra University is slightly better than the other two.
Hope that helps.

present I am going to study btech in aerospace engineering at SASTRA UNIVERSITY.i want to become an astronaut at nasa.what should I do further to become an astronaut at nasa?
After BTech in Aerospace Engineering from Sastra University, I'd give you few options, which would perhaps lead you to NASA or similar Space Research Organizations.
1. After BTech, pursue MTech from some of the Good/Top IITs or IISc Bangalore. Post which you may get a Job with ISRO or some Top Aerospace Manufacturing Company. After few years of experience, you may perhaps pursue a PhD in Aerospace & Avionics Abroad in US or maybe directly apply for Opportunities abroad. PhD options seems better as NASA recruits lot of PhD in Scientist Positions for various projects from Top Universities in US.
2. Other option maybe, directly moving to US for a MS/MS+PhD after BTech and hence opportunities in Industry, Research & Academia in the Aerospace, Avionics, Space Technology, Rocket Industry Abroad.
Yeah, secondly chances are bleak you'll be able to become an astronaut with Nasa. Usually they'll always prefer US Citizens. However you may be an excellent Flight Engineer or Rocket Systems Designer, who knows you maybe selected for a Mission as Specialist deep in future.
taking nit silchar is beat or taking sastra university is best which sastra has best nirf rank than silchar? i got mechanical what is the placemest in sastra for mech. department in last year? please say
Hi Aspirant!
Both NIT Silchar and Sastra University are deemed universities , but NIT is institute of national importance. Also, NIT Silchar has been ranked 24 by India Today 2021, ranked 9 by NIRF 2020 and Sastra has been ranked 25 by NIRF 2020. Both collges provide good facilities such as digital classrooms, hostel facilities, internet facilities, green lush campus, library sports etc and skilled faculty members.
The placement record of Sastra University for mechanical engineering is not as good as of CSE or Electrical department. The average salary package offered to mechanical students is around 3.6 LPA and most of the recruiting companies are mass recruiters. If you have any chances to upgrade your seat to CSE or ECE from mechanical then I would suggest you to do that.
Thankyou!
i have gone through a lot of reviews on sastra university . nearly half of the reviews say that the faculty of sastra university is no good enough . can u plz help me to get an honest review about the faculty of sastra university
Hi aspirant,
The academics and faculties have a good rating i.e. 3.7/5 as per the verified students of the Sastra University. So you can assume the faculties to be good and supportive. The University ranks quite high in NIRF engineering and college rankings which can not be possible without having experienced and trained professionals.
Some of the top reviews satisfying your query available on our portal are as follows:
- The money is a bit high but it's worth it as the quality of teaching is very good and teachers are very much supportive throughout and they encourage for internships while in the college and they guide them very well.
- Quality of teachers was ok. It is same as that of other colleges. Every college contain some very good staff, average staff and below average staff so in similar way sastra also contain all the three categories of staff
- I am studying MCA and the teaching quality is so good with our experienced staff
Since the verified students and alumni of the institution can give you best overview of this topic, read the reviews at https://www.careers360.com/university/shanmugha-arts-science-technology-research-and-academy-thanjavur/reviews
Hope it helps!!
is seat allotment for sastra university under stream 1 and stream 2 is 50% and 50% respectively?
Hi aspirant,
It is not like that, about 70 percent of the seats are filled through stream 1(jee+boards) and rest of others through stream 2. So if basically there are 1500 seats in all then 1050 seats will be filled in steam 1 and 450 in stream 2.
Hope it helps!!
can i get cse or it seat in sastra university for AIR 3329 atleast in round 3
hi,
sastra university b.tech admission is based on stream of admission.
stream 1: admission is based on jeemain and 12th exam score. 50% seats are filled based on admission in stream 1 process..
stream 2: admission is based on 12th course merit only. 50% seats are reserve for stream 2 process.
however the streams available on computer science is as follows:
Computer Science & Business System
Computer Science &Engineering
Computer Science &Engineering (with Spl in Artificial Intelligence & Data Science)
Computer Science &Engineering (with Spl in Cyber Security & Blockchain Technology)
Computer Science &Engineering (with Spl in IoT & Automation)
it is actually quite difficult to predict which of the stream you might get. however chances is moderate for selection in sastra.
my suggestion is do apply for others institute as well.
sastra Stream 1 ranking 3099 is possible to get seats in Thanjavur campus for B.tech
Dear aspirant,
As you have secured 3k in sastra stream 1 so I think it is quite possible for you to get a good branch in the Thanjavur campus for B.tech. The merit list has been prepared on the basis of scores you scored in 12th and JEE mains.
70% weightage is given to JEE mains and 30% is given to 12 scores. So, to take admission it's very important to score well at JEE mains rather than your 12th.

I got 2404 rank in sastra which branch can I get?
Dear aspirant,
As you have secured 2.4k rank in sastra I would like to tell you there is no particular cut off for sastra University. This merit list has been prepared by the scores of JEE mains and 12th scores.
But as per the previous year trends you should be able to grab cse branch in this college as the cut off generally is around 6k.
For more information you can check out the link given below-
I get 3500 rank can I get cse in sastra
Hi
There is no special cutoff and the admission is solely dependent on the availability of seats in the university. It solely depends on your rank in sastra university's merit list. As for CSE your rank should not be above 500, maximum 700 but not more than that. Only then you may have a chance in getting a seat, This is from stream 1. For stream 2 your board percentage is considered where it should be more than 98.6%.
Based on your rank it will be difficult for you to get a seat at the university
