The basic criteria for admission at sona college of technology is only based upon the cut off marks calculated from the higher secondary marks in the subjects maths, physics and chemistry.

The cut off for the courses varies from each other according to the excellence in the  particular department in the last academic year and also number of students aspiring to do engineering in that college in that particular course. The core departments has higher cut off of 170 and the cse department has cut off of 150 and other technology course has a cut off of 120-100.
