Although CSE and IT have a lot of similarities but there are a few subtle differences. You must gather as much information as you can, from people associated with those particular fields before choosing any particular Branch.

• Until a few years back, SCVE was a top graded college all over TamilNadu. Currently, I believe that SSN holds a place in the list of top graded colleges in TamilNadu.
• Based on general rules and infrastructure, I think that SCVE could be rated as the best college in the surrounding locality. However, I feel that the students if SSN have a wider exposure, overall.
• The exposure probably comes from organizing plenty of events for other the other colleges to take part in. But don't get me wrong here. SCVE also has a number of events happening throughout the year. The number of students who take part in it is quite low, probably because of the strict rules in the surrounding colleges.(SCVE is NOT strict).

• Placement -  here TCS, Tata consultancy services, Syntel , etc, few small companies visit every year. Package for tata consultancy services is 3.0 per annum and for cognizant is 2.5 per annum for syntel is 2.0 per annum and for small companies they offered less than 2.0 per annum.
• Faculty - Faculties are very friendly with students. Faculties support students to go with their passion and they don't really make us to by-heart everything. They'll explain to you everything anything as many times as you want. Even HOD sirs are also very friendly with students and they support the students all the time.

• Placement - this college organizes pre-placement as well as higher education programs. There used to be a huge list of companies for Computer Science Engineering core such as Microsoft(19L-80L), Amazon (13L), Zoho (6L), Fuji Xerox (13L), Thoughtworks, Ascendant and other service oriented companies such as TCS, Infosys, CTS, Wipro, Accenture.
• Faculty - Most of the Professors are really interested towards teaching and research.
