Hello aspirant. As you mentioned that your rank is 38000 under BC-B category, there are many colleges where you can get admission in CSE. But is very difficult to get CSE in Sri Venteswara University as you rank is too high when compared to last year cutoff. So, better try for another another as it is impossible to get admission in Sri Venteswara University.

As per your query about the admission in the Sri Venkateswara College of engineering .you friend can secure a seat in the ece and mechanical  but not in the computer science

The most important thing here is to go for a branch that interests you more.

Although CSE and IT have a lot of similarities but there are a few subtle differences. You must gather as much information as you can, from people associated with those particular fields before choosing any particular Branch.

Both these colleges are good colleges.

• Until a few years back, SCVE was a top graded college all over TamilNadu. Currently, I believe that SSN holds a place in the list of top graded colleges in TamilNadu.
• Based on general rules and infrastructure, I think that SCVE could be rated as the best college in the surrounding locality. However, I feel that the students if SSN have a wider exposure, overall.
• The exposure probably comes from organizing plenty of events for other the other colleges to take part in. But don't get me wrong here. SCVE also has a number of events happening throughout the year. The number of students who take part in it is quite low, probably because of the strict rules in the surrounding colleges.(SCVE is NOT strict).
