I understand your concern over the medium of instruction in 1st PU. It is very difficult to shift from Kannada to English medium of instruction suddenly. However, it is not impossible. All you need to do is to put more efforts.

Firstly, many colleges in Karnataka do explain the subjects in Kannada as well as they are well aware that there are students from different backgrounds. So you can always approach your lectueres if you find any difficulty.

Secondly, the language in textbooks is not really very tough english. So practice more. Try to understand the topic in Kannada once you read in English. It may take time. Practice by writing also as this improves your understanding even better.

There are several videos available in youtube in kannada which explains concepts well in case you dont understand. Reach out to your friends without hesitation.

Yes, SSLC certificate and the 10th standard marksheet are both the same thing. SSLC stands for Secondary School Learning Certificate, which contains your marks in each subject and the result of 10th standard, which is basically the 10th standard marksheet.

After SSlC there are lots of paths are available to start your journey such as diploma course and diploma courses are provides different areas like engineering (computer science ,electrical, mechanical ) diploma in Nursing ,and you can go through 11th in Science ,commerce and Arts stream and many more .

But i shared something with you which is not related to any course .Always choose your course anything as per your interest and skills you have  because if you have not interested in any field but you should wants to do then you will get successes much more time .

So i suggest you must go through your interest and i had suggested some of courses are above mentioned and you can choose any of one .
