i have failed even in supplementary exam of bds 1st year in only one subject...then will i be able to carry over the subject in 2nd year or should clear the exam by again attenting 1st year
Hello aspirant,
I hope that you are doing absolutely great.
With reference to yoru above mentioned query, i would like to tell you that if any candidate who fails in one subject in an Examination, he/she shall be permitted to go to the next higher class and appear for the subject with supplementary/subsequent examination and complete it successfully before he/she is permitted to appear for the next higher examination.
I hope that this will help.
Will IITs, VITs ,BITs ,NITs accept a student if he has written a supplementary exam???? . Please tell me its very important ??.
Hello Applicant!!
As per the admission into IITs, NITs or BITS is concerned it is governed by their entrance exam performance and to appear for the exam you need to have at least 50% aggregate. Hence even if you have some poor or bad record of performance then also you can use up your final performance in the entrance exam to score well. And unless you have uncleared backlogs, your performance or admission criteria will not be hampered in any Institution.
Hope it helps!!!
I have missed 12th JAC board economics paper(absent) due to severe illness. can I eligible to give supplementary exam. If not can I give this 1 paper exam through NIOS. Also I am preparing for JEE MAINS and hoping to get admission for B.tech degree. Will engineering colleges accept NIOS marksheet?
Yes! The NIOS certificate is valid for both the JEE MAINS & ADVANCED examination. So if you wish to take admission in any of the colleges through JEE MAINS, then your NIOS score will be valid. You have nothing to worry about the NIOS, the score card is widely accepted. The main thing which you should focus on is your JEE MAINS preparation. Giving mock tests is a key to success for this examinations. So keep on practicing mock tests.

if i get 33 out of 100(passing marks 35 )in 1st puc Karnataka ,will my college pass me or will i have to write supplementary exam
Hello Aspirant,
See generally for such difference authorities give grace marks of 2-3 marks so that the candidate can pass at least but it is not for sure therefore now it all depends upon luck and the nature of teacher whoever will be checking your answer sheet, but there are much chances that the teacher might pass you with grace marks until an unless it is any internal test whose marks are not to be added in the final result.
I hope this information helps you.
Good Luck!!

How can a student give exam for an additional subject from the same board after completing 12th pcm? How does it called supplementary or improvement or compartment ?
Greetings!!
If in case a student isn't satisfied with his/her marks in CBSE examination, then they can give an improvement examination for a particular subject, if a student fails in a subject then they can't be eligible for appearing in this improvement examination, however you must note that in the report card infront of result pass improvement will be stated for the particular subject.
In order to appear for the improvement examination you need to go on the official website of CBSE and then you need to select improvement examination from the home page and fill in the required details which will be asked and click on submit.
Hope this helps......
in 1st year if any student fails in supplementary exams,he/she will get year back, is this the same scenario from 2nd year too? or will it be a carry forward method?
See every university have there own rules and regulations for such things. But in general, most of the universities allows the students to carry on there education and have to clear it in the next session or next supplementary examination. So yeah! its the most probable that it will be carry forward and on a next attempt you need to pass the examination.
Although I would recommend you to confirm it if your university follows the same rule or not by contact your college officials/ your HOD.
Have a great eve!
