if a surgeon gets a salary of 3.5 lakh per month, does he earn something apart from that such as surgery fees
Hello,
Surgical Fees means fees charged by the hospital, doctors, surgeons, anesthetists and operating theatre but excluding the cost of room and board and any non-medical charges such as but not limited to meals and room charges incurred during Confinement in a Hospital up to the maximum Sum Insured stated in the Schedule.
Plastic surgery is the highest-paying physician specialty in 2021, according to Medscape's 2021 Physician Compensation Report. Many surgeons will often receive a single payment for pre-op, post-op and the surgery. However, bundled payments can also be much broader, encompassing longer periods of time and multiple providers.
A doctor that specializes in surgery is known as a surgeon. They perform operations on patients suffering from diseases, injuries or deformities. One can train to become either a general surgeon or choose any specialization such as orthopedic, neurological, plastic surgery or cardiovascular. A surgeon's job can be extremely rewarding as a surgeon gets to make a difference in people's lives by saving their lives. The technical knowledge and the skills of a surgeon in the operating room have a visible impact on a patient's health.

the jobs for neurosurgeon i have seen just offer 3-5 lakh per month why is the salary so low, dont neurosurgeons charge 2.5 lakh per surgery?
Hello,
Hope you are doing good!
The one of the main factors that can influence a neurosurgeon's salary is the amount of experience he has. When a neurosurgeon is just starting out in this field, he has less experience than a veteran in the medical business. As such, he often has a lower initial salary. Over time, however, as he gains experience and builds skill, he might reach the same salary range that more experienced surgeons enjoy. In fact, he may even have the opportunity to earn more than them one day.
In many cases, different facilities offer different neurosurgeon salaries. One facility may pay its surgeons far more than another one does, for instance. Even in a single facility, salaries may differ depending on the amount of experience the doctor has. Additionally, private practice salaries usually differ from those set by an employer.
There are many factors that can influence neurosurgeon salaries, including the reputation and experience of the surgeon. The facility at which he works or with which he is affiliated may also influence a neurosurgeon's salary. Any bonuses, incentives, or profit sharing benefits he receives may factor in as well. Additionally, neurosurgeon salaries often vary based on the country and region in which a person works. Once finished with the residency program and entering into the world of practicing medicine, neurosurgeons see a great jump in income, even in the entry-level years.
All the best!
Hope it will help!
Thank you!
if a neurosurgeon is associated with 3-4 hospitals and sits for 8 hours in total, when does he performs surgery
Hi aspirant,
Neurosurgery is a very complex simple and time consuming procedure is not possible that neurosurgeon visits 3 to 4 hospitals daily. Actually a neurosurgeon remains in contacts with various hospitals and is called for a surgery according to the situation. The number of visits can be either two or 3 at maximum per day and could be 0 at some days. So 8 hours per day as you have mentioned includes both surgery and visit time, which they manage according to the time a surgery takes.
Hope it helps!!
do doctors get a bmw for free from their hospital
hey there,
Hope you are doing well
No hospital provides BMW or even any free car to doctors. But yes they can buy from their own.
It depends on the background which that doctor comes from And the type of doctors he is for example some specialists like Cardiologist earns 2-3 lakhs on daily basis so that means they can easily afford.
the jobs for neurosurgeon i have seen just offer 3-5 lakh per month why is the salary so low, dont neurosurgeons charge 2.5 lakh to 7.5 lakh per surgery
The salary structure you have seen are for the Resident Neurosurgeon. On one year of experience, you will become a Senior Resident which is around 4-6 Lacs and after the senior resident, you can become the staff surgeon or the junior surgeon in any hospital which will have considerably a good hike of salary. After 4-5 years of experience your package is expected to go above 15-20 lacs if you are neurosurgeon in metropolitan city. So don't worry about the figures, medical profession is an experience based field. So once you have experience you are eligible for more opportunities.
Have a great day!
in usa , a assistant surgeon charged 120000 dollars for a surgery or approximatiely 90 lakh rupees for a lumbar fusion. the case was not even that huge. why did it cost so much
Hey,
A spinal fusion/lumbar fusion surgery is designed to stop the motion at a painful vertebral segment, which in turn should decrease pain generated from the joint. There are many approaches to lumbar spinal fusion surgery. Spinal fusion is major surgery, usually lasting several hours. Spinal fusion is generally a safe procedure. But as with any surgery, spinal fusion carries the potential risk of complications. Potential complications include Infection.
In USA surgeons charge 120000 dollars or more for a surgery because of various aspects like:
- The U.S. spends about 8% of its healthcare dollar on administrative costs, compared to 1% to 3% in the 10 other countries.
- Americans shell out almost four times as much for pharmaceutical drugs as citizens of other industrialized countries pay.
- Doctors and Nurses are paid more, The average U.S. family doctor earns $218,173 a year, and specialists make $316,000.
- Hospital care accounts for 33% of the nation’s healthcare costs. Between 2007 and 2014, prices for hospital care rose much faster than physician prices.
- Because of the complexity of the system and the lack of any set prices for medical services, providers are free to charge whatever the market will bear.
But in India the charges are less and depend upon the complexity of the procedure between Rs.189000 to Rs.800000.
Thank You
