So, if you want to become a surgeon after MBBS. You have to give NEET PG exam.
The National Board of Examinations (NBE) conducts the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate (NEET-PG) for admission to around 12,690Master of Surgery (MS), 24,306Doctor of Medicine (MD) and 922 PG Diploma seats in 6,102 government, private, deemed/central universities.

The number of questions asked in NEET PG has been reduced to 200. Till last year, a total of 300 multiple choice questions were asked. Maximum marks are 800.

Admission to all super speciality seats included in the seat matrix will be granted on the basis of NEET SS 2021 . Candidates eligible for NEET SS admission will be called for counselling. A total of 2,447 DM/MCh/DNB seats in 156 government medical colleges , private, deemed and Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) institutions will be filled through NEET SS counselling 2021 .

During counselling, candidates will be asked to fill their choices of courses and colleges on the basis of NEET SS 2021 seat matrix. Till date there are no limitation of age for the NEET examination. As a result, you can appear for it anytime but I would recommend you not to do so because anytime there can arrive limitations of upper age limit as cases are going on in Supreme court.
