what is the cut off for TNAU for 2020
Hey Risha
The cutoff scores keep changing every year and there is no fixed cutoff marks. It also depends on the domicile you have and the category you belong to.As you may know TNAU, its constituent colleges and private affiliated colleges together offer 3,422 seats in undergraduate agriculture science courses. 50% of these seats are reserved for SC,ST and OBC category students while the reset 50% is for UR category so if your rank falls below 1700 then you will have high chances of getting admission in TNAU.
I am interested to apply for TNAU.Please guide me.I like to study B.E agricultural engineering.My Marks are below Physics 84/100 Chemistry 84/100 Maths 77/100 Biology 79/100 Which college will I get? I wish to join colleges which come under TNAU.Can I get a seat?Pls give me more information..
Hello aspirant,
It is appreciated that you are showing your interest towards learning agriculture. Admissions for TNAU is purely based on merit. However TNAU considers marks scored in all four subjects.(pcmb)
The Eligibility Criteria is solely based on the Category distribution. It varies accordingly as 55%, 50%, 40% aggregate as per the Category you're representing. Since, it is a merit based process, the cut off marks may vary depending on several factors such as No.of.applications, The over all cut-off, Available no of seats. You've come up with the percentage of 81, it is well and good to choose your priority wisely. Have your priority list as per the ranking of the colleges, and there are plethora of chances to get admissions in the top ranking colleges. The best colleges, I would suggest is;
- Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) - Coimbatore
- Agricultural Engineering College and Research Institute - Trichy
- Agricultural College and Research Institute - Coimbatore
- Agricultural College and Research Institute - Killikulam
- Agricultural College and Research Institute - Thanjavur

my cutoff is 185 belong to bc category & can i get seat in govt collage for bsc agri in tnau 2022 counselling
Dear aspirant,
Based on previous year trends, you would atleast need a cutoff of 188-190 to get BSc. Agriculture in government collges under TNAU.
Having said this, you have a higher probability of getting, Bsc horticulture, Agriculture information technology etc. You can also try through NRI/management quota if not through direct counselling.
Hope this helps
