Hello Arumugam:)
The number of Tamil linguistic minority candidates is not publicly reported which appeared for NEET 2025 in Karnataka.
National level data shows 142,369 candidates from Karnataka appeared in NEET 2025 exam .
Thank you! I hope it will be helpful!
HEY THERE!!!
With a NEET 2025 score of 252, prospects for securing an MBBS seat in deemed universities in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, or Pondicherry—even under the management quota— are exceedingly slim .
Typically, the cutoff for such institutions hovers well above 400 or even 500 marks.
A score in the lower range may make you eligible for B-category seats in certain private colleges, but realistically, gaining admission to MBBS programs in deemed universities within these states is not feasible with 252 marks.
Hello Shyam,
If you belong to the BC category and want to join the Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) department in Tamil Nadu, here are some top colleges you can consider:
Top Government Colleges:
College of Engineering, Guindy (Anna University, Chennai)
Madras Institute of Technology (MIT), Chennai
Government College of Technology (GCT), Coimbatore
Coimbatore Institute of Technology (CIT), Coimbatore
Thiagarajar College of Engineering (TCE), Madurai
Top Private Colleges:
PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore
SSN College of Engineering, Chennai
Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering, Sriperumbudur
Kumaraguru College of Technology, Coimbatore
Sri Sairam Engineering College, Chennai
Important Points:
Admission is done through the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) process based on Class 12th marks.
BC category candidates generally have relaxed cutoffs compared to the general category.
Each college has different cutoff trends for the BC category depending on competition and seat intake.
Your eligibility depends on your academic marks, community certificate, and counseling rank.
You are advised to check the latest cutoff details and counseling guidelines from the official TNEA sources before applying.
I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries, feel free to share your questions with us, and we will be happy to assist you.
Thank you, and I wish you all the best in your bright future.
Hello Aspirant! ECE (Stream 2) at SASTRA University (Thanjavur) is a moderate to low possibility based on a JEE Main percentile of 51 and a Tamil Nadu Board Percentage of 93%; depending on the year and the trends in competition and cutoffs.
SASTRA gives 25% weightage to JEE Main and 75% weightage to board marks under Stream 2. You have a good board mark but a relatively low JEE percentile which is going to affect the composite score.
Hello,
Yes, your TNEA application will usually be accepted even if there is a small spelling difference in your father's name between your 10th mark sheet and community certificate. But you might be asked to give an affidavit or a declaration to explain the difference.
To be safe, you can also get a gazette certificate or notary affidavit stating that both names refer to the same person. This will help during certificate verification.
Hope it helps !
Your school will not accept community certificate of nepal because in india the community certificate which is accepted is issued only by government of india for any category and it is only for indian citizens.
Since you are a Nepalese citizen and you have your community certificate of nepal you are not eligible.but still you can get admission in unreserved category.
Hope it helps..
