I got 85% in diploma in electronics and telecommunication. Are there any chances of getting admission in direct second year in VJTI in E&TC with this marks? ( I am from open category)
Hi, according to the cut-off list mentioned by the VJTI on the internet it lies around 96% for the given branch. Also, it was for the first round. With that been said, the chances of you getting into VJTI for direct second year are slim. I would recommend you to still give it a try. All the best!
Which is better - Electronic & Telecommunication at IIEST SHIBPUR , or Electrical Engineering at NIT DURGAPUR ? (according to placement )
Dear aspirant,
Hope you secured a good rank in JEE mains. The institutions you have mentioned were counted as one of the good institutions for engineering courses.
Talking about the placements in the following colleges,
IIEST SHIBPUR
Electronic & Telecommunication Branch The placements are good enough. Almost 65-70% of students get placed every year. The highest package was offered by Microsoft (39 LPA) for 6 students, and the lowest package was offered by some of the mass recruiters like Infosys, TCS, Cognizant, etc., of 3.6 LPA. The average package was somewhere around 6 LPA. The top recruiting companies were Microsoft, Texas Instruments, PWC, ZS Associates etc. More than 50% of students grab internships in good companies like PWC, Microsoft, Texas etc. Some of the major roles offered are system engineer, VLSI design engineer, data scientist etc.

PESIT EC campus CSE vs. BMSCE ECE//EEE?????? PES University ECE. vs. BMSCE ISE/telecommunication engineering???
First think of the curriculum that you wish to study, between Computer Science Engineering or Electronics and Electrical Engineering if you think of the recent trends, CSE will give you better placements. Now among the different Colleges selected by you all of them have pretty good infrastructure and we'll equipped labs and experienced faculties but considering the placement records, PES University is the better one with Median Salary Packages 4-7 LPA.
Good luck !! Know more about this University

RVCE. EEE/ Telecommunication engineering. VS. MSRIT ECE/telecommunication engineering???
Dear applicant out of the two selected colleges of yours first let us discuss on RVCE, overall a very good college with improved infrastructure, good faculties, great facilities, placements with salary packages from 7 LPA to 9 LPA and more. MSRIT is also a wise option but if you consider the fee structure the placements will not satisfy your expectations. But the teachers are really good. Now if you think of your curriculum, Electronics and Electrical Engineering would be the better one from RVCE. Hope it helps,
Good luck !!

is it worth spending 12 lakh at ait pune in electronics and telecommunication branch
Yes, I believe AIT Pune is one of the best Technical Institutions in Pune City at par with COEP, MIT and VIT Pune. The institutions beaides having great placements for ETCE, also has excellent faculty, infrastructure and research facilities. Being located near Technology and Manufacturing Hubs of Pune and nearby Pimpri Chinchwad & Chakan, provide huge scope and impetus to training, projects and placements.

Under which category can I get electrical engineering in the viteee rank 25460 in VIT VELLORE campus. Also can you tell for electronics and telecommunication.
Greetings dear aspirant
Firstly, I would like to congratulate you for successful completion of your VITEEE exam. When it comes to Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) branch at Vellore campus, the cut-off was 16,000 and 15,500 in the years 2015 and 2016 respectively. Therefore with a rank near to 25,000, its not possible to get a EEE seat in any category.
Also, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering branch is not there in any of the VIT campuses. Following are the few specialisations in Electronics and Communication engineering (ECE) :
Courses Offered in Vellore Campus:
1. B.Tech. Electronics and Communication Engineering
2. B.Tech. Electronics and Communication Engineering with Spec. in Biomedical Engineering
3. B.Tech. Electronics and Communication Engineering with Spec. in IoT and Sensors
4. B.Tech. Electronics and Communication Engineering with Spec. in Sensors and Wearable Technology.
Courses Offered in Chennai Campus:
1. B.Tech. Electronics and Communication Engineering
2. B.Tech. Electronics and Computer Engineering

All the best for your counselling process
My one daughter had a rank of 25460 in viteee so can she get electrical or electronic and telecommunication engineering in vit vellore under category 2/3.My second daughter had a rank of 80000 so can she get the same courses or CSE in vit vellore.Which category my second daughter will get.
Greetings of the day
First of all, congrats on successful completion of VITEEE exam. When it comes to your first daughter, with a rank of 20,000 its hard to get a Electrical (EEE) seat in Vellore campus as the cut-off was 15,500 in the year 2016. She can try applying for Electrical branch at Chennai campus where she can easily get a EEE seat in 1st category itself.
Coming to your second daughter, it's really tough to get a CS seat as it has high demand these days. The cut-off trends keep changing every year and it depends on the number of students attempting the exam, difficulty level, number of available seats, etc. With a rank near to 80,000, its not possible to get any seat in Vellore or Chennai campus in any category. Whereas, she can secure a CS seat in their Amravati (AP) and Bhopal campuses in 1st or 2nd fee categories itself as these are recently established.
VIT AP and VIT Bhopal offer many specialisations in CSE branch such as Artificial Intelligence, Cyber security and Digital forensics, Gaming Technology, Health Informatics, Networking and Security, Data Analytics, Robotics, Business Systems. These courses are future ready and have high placement opportunities. You can opt for the one you like from these specialisations.

Can I get electrical engineering or electrical and telecommunication engineering in VIT vellore campus with a rank of 25460.Which category can I get.
Hello Disha,
Hello Aditya Kaushik,
It is really unpredictable because cut-offs changes every year. But based on previous year's cut-offs it can be said that it is difficult for you to get Electrical and Electronics Engineering branch in Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore in Category 1, for your VITEEE Rank because your rank is not in the range of previous year's cut-offs of B. Tech Electrical and Electronics Engineering in VIT Vellore Campus.
You may get B. Tech Electrical and Electronics Engineering in Category 2 or 3 but you need to pay additional fees amount for 4 years.
You can go through below link to get more information about VITEEE cut-offs.

All The Best!!
am i allowed to change my branch from civil engg to electronic and telecommunication branch after completing my diploma in civil engg
No, you cannot. If you have done your diploma degree in Civil Engineering then you will have to do B.tech further in Civil engineering itself because in lateral entry examinations you will have to continue the same branch.
I hope this helps.
