To get the best branches such as CSE/IT at Thapar University, you need 80% and above in your boards and about 50-60% in JEE Mains.

criteria: Aggregate Marks > 95% First 25 students irrespective of branch on the basis of JEE score in the first year.

Aggregate Marks > 90% Next 30 students irrespective of branch on the basis of JEE score in the first year.

I would like to say you that if you have opted for upgradation in online counseling when you got ece then you will definitely get computer engineering but if you have locked your seat then you can't change your seat. Maybe you can do it in spot.

CSE has a very good future, so pursuing this stream from a very good univeristy is a very good opportunity to look on. But again, just remember what you are passionate about. The UG engineering admission in Thapar University is granted on the basis of JEE Main score. The university only take those qualifiers of JEE Main who satisfy the eligibility criteria as well.
