Looking at the previous stats of placements of NIE 75-80% of recruiters are software companies. They intake ECE students as well, but at the end of the day they prefer CS students.

I suggest you to go with CS if you are looking for placements and getting recruited at the end of your fourth year, if only!.

RIT, BMS, NIE all three are private colleges with low fees of Rs. 78,380/-, Rs. 49,500/-, 19,090/- per year, respectively. All three colleges offer Civil Engineering. The admissions are based on KCET and COMEDK exams. The placement scenario of RIT is pretty good with many core companies like L&T and some Dubai based MNC visiting the campus. The placement in BMS is also good with companies like Caterpillar, Shapoorji Pallonji & co visiting the campus. According to me, Civil Engineering is a very nice choice of the branch in the current scenario for B. Tech and between these 3 colleges, RIT might be the best option.

Both NIE college and SIT college are good but I would prefer you to choose NIE college, Mysore. The placements here are good not only for the software branches but also for the core branches. Companies such as mercedes,Amazon,Google, Mindtree, Accenture and many MNC's visit the campus with good packages. The college has a record of 100% placement every year.

BMS college Banglore and NIE,Mysore both are top colleges but I would prefer you to choose BMS college , Banglore instead. The highly reputed colleeg is even autonomous which is like a cherry on the top. The faculty and infrastructure are said to be very advance and helpful. Based on surveys and reviews, NIE happens to be in the top 10 engineering colleges of karnataka.  In terms of placement offers between the two colleges, NIE had its highest package about 20-24lpa whereas KLE still has around 10-15lpa. Faculties are well experienced in NIE are recurited only after masters or phds. Campus of NIE is divided into 2 parts and is considered one of the small campus colleges in Karnataka, library and hostel facilities are really good with new buildings and college infrastructure.  They recently had a building constructed for electrical and electronic students funded by NR Narayan murthy sir (infosys) , they provide college bus facilities and have a large playground for sports which they believe it is necessary to maintain physical fitness.. various sports events and inter college matches are conducted and played every year.. different college groups for helping students to prepare for interviews and bring social awareness are present. All these facilities are provided in KLE but not as better as NIE.Over all NIE is better KLE in terms of all factors!

As per your rank in ComedK 2019 and considering you are a non-Karnataka resident, you cannot get a seat in any branch of NIE, Mysore. The CSE branch of NIE, Mysore closes around 2000 rank (for GM category). I would suggest you to try for other colleges under Comedk as per your branch preference. Good luck.

Firstly congratulations for securing a good rank. Cutoff for cse in NIE during 2018 was 2269 for general category . As you have 1751 which very well falls within the cutoff rank you have clear chances in getting a cse seat in NIE with or without snq quota. If you belong to any other category you have easy chance for getting cse NIE.  Having snq is favourable to you .so yes you wil get cse NIE with your rank and snq quota. Good luck!
