For Example, if the highest mark secured by the student of State Board of Tamil Nadu in Physics is 100 and the highest score obtained by a student of any other Board in the same subject is 90 both the highest marks will be considered to be equal to 100.
- Based on the total mark of 200, a merit list is prepared. Cases where more than one candidate has got the same marks in the standard merit list, the inter-se-merit among such candidates will be determined in the order of priority as specified below.
- Percentage of marks in Mathematics, Percentage of marks in Physics, Percentage of marks in the Fourth optional subject, Date of Birth (elder will be given preference) & Random number assigned (higher value will be given a choice).

My friends cut off is 192 and he belongs to bc. Will he get CSE from psg college?
With a cut off of 192 in the BC category, it becomes difficult to secure a seat in the PSG college of technology when comparing the results of previous years. For one to secure a seat there, a cut off score of something which is not less than 198 or above is required. Since PSG college of technology is ranked among the top five colleges affiliated under Anna University and CSE is the most opted branch by many candidates, the cut off's are usually high.
