For taking admission in Manipal institute you need to clear Manipal entrance test which is only way to take admission in MIT

In RV college admissions are done on the basis of rank in KEA-CET through KCET Counselling and COMED-K through COMEDK Counselling.

I would like to tell you that walk-in-interviews will be held on 16th and 22nd April 2019 from 9.15 am to 4 pm for that 2nd PUC, Karnataka applicants who have applied for the undergraduate courses at St. Joseph’s College, Autonomous, Bangalore. Don't get swayed by the location factor component. It nothing much to do with the placements.

Placements in India are mainly all due to Alumini contacts and by college Tag.

By MNNIT you get both. Since elstablished in 1952 and also the first NIT to provide CSE, its alma mater are well placed at the top notch positions in spectra of companies. Added that the NIT tag importance you'll get to know soon when you will be applying for Job switch.

Karnataka Examinations Authority conducts the KCET for admissions to various engieering courses in colleges of Karnataka. The eligibility requirements must be thoroughly checked before applying for the exam. 

As for your question, the colleges of Bangalore are the top notch ones in Karnataka and hence require very good ranks. I am mentioning the top colleges and their cut off ranks(General category) in Computer Science and Engineering:
