how much percentage required to get admission in Delhi university for OBCs
every year crosses a new mark, as last year never heard instance happened when DU cut off touched 100% in two colleges and DU Cut Off 2016seems to be heading the same way. As Class XII CBSE papers have been easy this year apart from few like Maths,as a result more than 60,000 students are expected to cross 90% this year in Class XII . Now Delhi University only have 54,000 seats approx., there won’t be any extreme change in cut off and DU Cutoff 2016 seems to be again high and for popular courses above 96% . Delhi University first cut off list 2016 generally gets released on last week of June. Most DU colleges in the first DU cut off would keep above 96% for popular courses like B.Com(H) & Eco(H).
This year too lakhs of students will fill the forms who want to get admission in DU but only few make it to the colleges because of the high DU cut off
I secured 76 marks in physics in board exam and ifill up delhi university form for bsc. Will i select in it. And I am general category
Hello candidate.
Please mention your Best of 3 score. One subject cannot determine the possibility of getting you into a College. The aggregate score of science subjects is taken into consideration for B.Sc. courses.
DU is officially releasing the Cut-offs, so be updated with that.
Hope this was helpful and good luck!
Respected sir / mam . I have got 229 EWS category rank in du jat . Can i get any of the Colleges of delhi university ?
Hello Vishal, Congrats for getting good rank in DUJAT, And your rank is eligible to get seat in Delhi University and their affliated college. So, you no need to worry about your seat. All the best for your future.
My marks in 12th commerce are aa follows-
Your best of 4 subjects will exclude Fine Arts, and the best of four percentage of yours is 84.5%. In Unreserved Category, it's very tough to get admission at this percentage in B.Com. as it is a very demanding course and it's cutoffs remain high till the 8th or 9th cutoffs. So you've to wait till the 6th cutoff as per past trends.
After that you may get in some south campus colleges or off campus colleges.
The colleges you may look after 6th cutoff are Lakshmibai College (W), Deshbandhu College etc.
One more thing I want to add is, many of the colleges have made it compulsory to have Mathematics for B.Com Hons. So you can only get a B.Com Programme.
Hope it helped,
Thank you!
hey, I recieved a message from Delhi university to update my marks today. But the last date to do so was yesterday. what to do now?
Sometimes, errors do occur from authorities' side regarding registration and admission processes.
In this case, you should still try to update your mentioned marks on your application portal as per required by the University of Delhi. If you are unable to edit the marks today, then please write a mail to the DU authorities stating your concern.
They will try to get back to you and let you know what can be done about this error.
Best wishes!
How man students applied in Delhi University for journalism entrance exam 2018 and 19?And how many seats are available in jrnlsm entrance19?
Hi, as you would know that Bachelors in Journalism is one of the top courses demanded in Delhi University, so much so that according to news these days this year there are around 367 applicants for 1 seat. From this number you'll surely understand that the number of applicants for this course are in tens of thousands as students from all over india as well as abroad come to take admission every year and the number keeps on rising.
Unfortunately there are only 7 colleges in Delhi University, that offer this course.
The breack uf seats in very college category wise is as follows:
General: 30
OBC: 16
SC: 09
ST: 05
PwD: 03
CW:03
Foreign Students: 03
According to last year's statistics there were 229 seats for this course and this year there are 306 seats for which there are as many as 1,12,233 participants.
Hope this answers your question. Good Luck
With only 9000 registration in delhi university for EWS category in UG admission can we expect atleast 5% difference in cutoff than general
Hey Jatin,
As per the recent news that has come up from the Open Day held at Rajdhani College, the authorities said that- 'There will not be separate cut-offs for EWS students and they will have the same eligibility criteria as students from the unreserved category. Eligibility Criteria for merit-based admissions under the EWS category shall also be identical to that of unreserved category.'
Hope that helps! :)

Which college I can get in Delhi University with BO4 80 percent for BA Prog. Being an OBC -NCL .Kindly suggest all the colleges .
Your chances of getting a good college at university of Delhi is close to negligible, your bfs isn't enough to land you in a good college. Because for BA programme, you need a got bfs around 85% because the cutoff is usually high and this time, the expected cutoff is likely to increase.
Kepp an eye on the cutoff
Hope it works
If I take admission in 2rd or 3rd cut off in delhi university but if there are good colleges in 6th or 7th cutoff can I change my college?
Yes you can change the college if you get better College in the later cutoff lists.
You hv apply for cancellation in your present college take back your documents and then apply for the new college.
The fees you hv paid for your present college will get transferred to the new college you choose to take admission.
