Which university is better Delhi university or Mumbai university for BA ?
Hi Yashika,
Having lived in both cities, Delhi University is much better. Even the people of Mumbai have no second thoughts about that.
DU offers a wide range of subjects which aren't there in MU. MU doesn't even have a course in economics except Xavier's. (Xavier's Mumbai is autonomous)
The course structure of most courses in DU is well framed, which I don't think is in Mumbai. DU offers a lot more of co-curricular activities as opposed to MU. It has more events too.
The infrastructure of MU is literally nothing as compared to DU. Most colleges like H.R., Jai Hind are located in narrow lanes and are just stand alone, old looking buildings. DU colleges are huge buildings and have great infrastructure. (Same applies to schools of both cities)
Infrastructure of Delhi is much better than Mumbai too. Local trains are well connected but requires great skills. Delhi Metro are well developed, clean and maintained. They are convenient and easy to use.
This year, can we switch colleges in Delhi University only once??
The suggestion has been made by DU college principals to the committee on undergraduate admission policy of the varsity ( the no. Of times one can change the colleges during admissions should be limited).
Under the admission process, students can change their college after selecting one in the subsequent cut off lists. This process, as per the report, further creates concerns as the colleges are not able to assess the exact number of applications. Furthermore, shifting colleges increases the time it takes. The committee has been recommended to put a number of definite times an applicant would be allowed to change courses/ colleges during admission.
There is no final decision as yet and the committee would work on the policy.
Does speech and soft board decoration considered another divinity category of eca in delhi university
Hey tanzeel,
The college of du don't include speech and soft board decorations under divinity category of eca.
Since only a few colleges accept students through this eca category "Divinity for Minority Colleges", not many apply for the same. Moreover, very few seats are available for this category. Only 4 minority colleges admit students through this ECA category. The colleges are- Mata Sundri College, SGND Khalsa College, SGTB Khalsa College and Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce.
I'll provide you with a link where you'll get all information regarding divinity category procedure and admission basis.

Go through it carefully.
Good luck!

Hey I have scored 72.7 in best four in 12th and belongs to schedule caste .Which colleges of delhi university I will get for ba programme
Hey Yash,
DU is one of the most prestigious college and hence demands a high cutoffs. Since your percentages isn't that high you may not expect your admission in good colleges of du but can expect getting admission in some off campus colleges of du being a reserved category candidate. You may check the cutoffs of Colleges like Deshbandhu, Satyawati, Motilal Nehru Evening, Dyal singh, etc. If not in first cutoff you may get in till the 2nd or 3rd cutoffs. You can also check the previous cutoffs of the further colleges on www.du.ac.in to get a better idea of the colleges you may get!
Hope this helps.
And do ask your further query !
Where is the best placement, amu ballb(5yr) or dullb (3yr)?Delhi university vs amu
There is not a huge difference between the placement opportunities of both the colleges mentioned by you, i.e. Aligarh Muslim University and Delhi University. Still Aligarh Muslim University has a slight higher rating in terms of placement.
You can try to contact the Alumini of both the institutions for a better vision.
Hope that helps! :)

another option for you is bba at delhi technological university. bba is a professional course and a mix of computers and business.
