Sir/Mam I am final year engineering student AY 2018-19 can I get admission for AY2019-20 MBA(PU) as results are declared late(Aug)
Dear Girish, I am trying to understand your question to check if I got it right. Please feel free to correct me if I have gone wrong somewhere. Your Engineering results of 2018-19 came late and now you want to know if you can take admission in 2019-20? If that is the question, here you go:
The eligibiloty criteria for joining MBA (PU) in 2019-20 is that
- You should have completed your graduation in any stream with 50% aggregate
- You should have appeared and qualified in MAH CET.
For being Eligible for MAH CET:
- You should have completed your graduation with a minimum aggrrgate of 50% in any stream
- Final year students whose results will be declared late(atleast before the commencement of admission) for the year 2018 - 19 can also apply.
I will stop here and let you read the Underlined sentence once again. So your results have been declared late, provides you have the minimum required aggregate, you can take admission in MBA PU for the Accademic Year 2019-20.
Now, for admissions into MBA colleges, you need to appear for Entrance Examinations based on the University you want to get an admission under. Each University has its own score requirement. So based on that,
PIBM (Pune Institute of Business Management) has its own criteria:
- Your education format should be 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 with a minimum aggregate of 50% from your 10th until Graduation.
- PIBM has a selection process which includes Aptitude test (PMAT), Group Discussion, Persona Interview and Written Test.
- PIBM also accepts CAT/XAT/MAT/CMAT/ATMA/PMAT scores.
So even if you are not appearing for MAH CET, even if you appear for PMAT, you still can get an admission here based on your performance. Hope this helps. Do let us know if this doesnt answer question and need some more answers.

Top College for MSC:
Fergusson College is an Autonomous public educational institution offering courses in the streams of Arts and Science in the city of Pune. It was founded in 1885 by the Deccan Education Society. Professor Vaman Shivram Apte was its first principal.
Exam Details:
While most MSc entrance exams are conducted in the offline mode, some important exams such as IIT JAM are conducted as computer-based tests.
Duration of most of the top MSc entrance exams such as NEST and TIFR Entrance Exam is typically three hours. However, the duration might change depending on the college/ university policy and/ or the MSc subject a candidate is giving the exam for.
Questions that appear in MSc entrance exams are usually objective-type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). However, few MSc entrance exams also include numeric questions. For instance, IIT JAM exam contains a different section for numeric questions, called Numerical Answer Type (NAT). Here, the answer for each question is a number.
Marking scheme for most MSc entrance exams is such that 1 – 3 marks are awarded for each correct answer and 0.5 – 1 mark is deducted for each incorrect answer.
However, an MSc entrance exam can typically have questions ranging from 60 – 150.
