i need to know what is very useful book for self preparation. because i am too confusing about books and portions . i need some advice who had already passed nimcet . i am studying trigonometry but there is no questions from the previous question paper . that is giving me fear of studying
Hello,
I am attaching some of the advices by the people who have cracked the exam.
First and foremost, you must strengthen your math fundamentals. You may use YouTube to aid you with this. You may look for topic-specific mathematical lectures . Then, once you've mastered the fundamentals of math, try your hand at some problems related to the themes.Recommended books are
- RD sharma for Mathematics
- R.S.Agarwal for Reasoning.
- Arihant Complete study package for MCA
Then you may answer past years' JEE Main chapterwise solutions, which you can do by purchasing any book. After you've finished these books, you can use past years' NIMCET problems as a practise test by solving them in exam conditions. Then evaluate your strong and weak aspects and proceed with your preparation appropriately.
Hope it helped you
What is trigonometry and angles
Hi Aspirant,
It is a chapter dealt in class 7-8.It accentuates the relation between angles of a triangle in terms of cosines,sines and tangents.You may also study about the inverse trigonemetric functions like cot,sec and cosec etc.Its a vety interesting chapter and it is required in almost every field of mathematics after class 9 onwards.SO study the chapter properly to avoid confusion in later classes.
Hope it helps!!
what is the formula of tan3x ,tan2x in trigonometry
Hey there,
Formulas of Tan3x are:-
Tan3x=(3Tanx-Tan³x)/(1-3Tan²x)
Formula of Tan2x are:-
Tan2x=2tanx/(1-tan²x)
Hope it helps!
differentiate sinx.cosx expression in trigonometry
Hey there,
(Sinx*Cosx )dx
Using the (u.v)dx formula,
->Sinx*(-Sinx)+Cosx*Cosx
-> -sin²x+cos²x
->cos²x-sin²x
->Cos2x ( since,cos²x-sin²x)
Hope this helps!
if 2A+B=pi/2 prove that 2tanA+tanB=tan(A+B)
Hello candidate,
First of all, we can replace B as π/2- 2A, or A as π/4- B/2. So, now upon commutating the value of tan(A+B), we get the result as tanA + tan (π/2-2A)/ 1- tanA* tan(90- 2A).
Upon solving the equation, 2 TanA+ tanB, we get the same value as tanA + tan (π/2-2A)/ 1- tanA* tan(90- 2A). As the right hand side part is same in both the cases, hence both the equations are same.
Hope it helps!!
how to crack any question regarding trigonometry?
You should have a strong understanding of the basics that is class 10 Trigonometry and must have all the important formulae memorized to solve any problem in Trigonometry.
Also any topic in Maths needs a lots of practice to have a good command on it. So you should focus on that also.
I hope my answer helps. All the very best for your future endeavors!
I want to appear for CAT examination next year but, sections of my my like Algebra, Geometry and Trigonometry are very very weak, should I still try for CAT examination or should I let it go? Please suggest me from the best of your knowledge.
Hello candidate,
It's a fact that subjects such as algebra, geometry and trigonometry carry an importance weightage in the prestigious CAT examination, but you don't need to just leave your preparations if you are weak in these subjects.
First of all, try looking at your basics and solve the questions from NCERT class 8th to 10th standard which will help you to get your fundamentals correct, and then gradually moves towards the entrance books and try solving sample papers and detect mock test of specific chapters which you feel you are weak at. This strategy will help you to to gradually improve when you can also overcome your fear of failure.
All the best for your examination!!
how to define trigonometry signs
Defining trigonometric signs are very easy.
In first quadrant all the trigonometric signs are positive.
In second quadrant only sin and cosec are positive and other are negative. In third quadrant only tan and cot are posiive and other are negative.
And, in fourth quadrant, only cos and sec are positive and other are negative.
For remembering the sign conventions I personally use the trick as - All Silver Tea Cups.
That Means:-
A for all, means all the trigonometric terms are positive.
S for sin and it's reciprocal are positive.
T for tan and it's reciprocal are positive.
C for cos and it's reciprocal are positive.
