Prove that- (1+sec2A )(1+sec4A)=cotA
Dear Aspirant,
I have check the question it is misprint but I have tried to prove the Result hope this will help you.
here is the your answer:
recall your half-angle formula:
tan(x/2) = sinx/(1+cosx)
Now, we have
1+sec2A = (1+cos2A)/cos2A
= 1/[cos2A/(1+cos2A)]
= 1/[sin2A/(1+cos2A) * cos2A/sin2A]
= 1/(tanA cot2A)
= tan2A/tanA ---------------- (1)
Now we can see that
1+sec4A = tan4A/tan2A--------------------(2)
now we multiply eq.1 and 2, we get
(1+sec2A)(1+sec4A) = cot A*tanA
can you prefer me how can i prepare for any competitive exams like mains and more on
Hello!
Mains,Adv and other engineering entrance examinations are considered as one of the toughest examinations in our country. Moreover, these examinations will land you into one of the finest and premier Institutions of India. Hence, having a proper plan and following it perfectly will surely help you out in cracking these examinations. First of all, try to concentrate on concept learning. Being thorough with the concepts will help you out in solving conceptual questions easily and hence, improves your chance of getting selected. Then, try to give as many sample papers as you can. Go through the previous years question papers and solve each and every problem thoroughly. This will improve your accuracy as well as efficiency. Finally, stay confident and determined. Work smart and reach your goal.
Hope this Helps.
find the sum of the infinite series 1+cos4@/4! +cos8@/8! +.......
hello,
This question will get solved by applying rules and derivation. and you have to understand why it has happened like this. For that go to your maths teacher and ask him/her to help you out and explain you the steps he uses to solve it.
Some questions are important to understand as they might be get needed in understanding further concepts,answer questions and perform well with confidence.
Hope it helps!
inverese trigonometry function imp
Specifically, they are the inverses of the sine , cosine, tangent , cotangent, secant, and cosecant functions , and are used to obtain an angle from any of the angle's trigonometric ratios. Inverse trigonometric functions are widely used in engineering, navigation, physics, and geometry.
Integrating the derivative and fixing the value at one point gives an expression for the inverse trigonometric function as a definite integral.
trigonometry and trigonometric equation asked in jee mains and advance
In JEE mains only trigonomertical equation are generally asked which is an application of trigonometry that we have studied earlier in 9th class or 10 class.

if 6cos^2theta -2cos2theta -3=0, then tan^2theta is equal to
Hello!
The answer is One.
Reason/Explanation- here, expanding the given equation,
cos2x=2cos^2x-1
we get,
6cos^2x-4cos^2x+2-3=0
2cos^2x-1=0
cos^2x=1/2
cosx=1/(2)^(1/2)
x=45 degrees.
here,
tan^2x=(tan 45)^2=1
Therefore, Answer=1.
These kind of equations must be solved by simplifying it. Hope this helps!
