Hello Aspirant,
Kerala has the highest rate of literacy in all of India, showing that the state's administration places a high value on education and makes every effort to raise standards and quality. Science and technology disciplines predominate in India's current educational system. Among well-known stem courses is forensic science, which can be defined as the use of science to criminal investigations and legal difficulties. There are a number of renowned educational institutions in Kerala that provide courses in this subject.
- Thiruvananthapuram Government Medical College
- Thiruvananthapuram Rajiv Gandhi Center for Biotechnology
- Vidyapeetham Amrita Vishwa, Kochi
- Amrita Medical School, Kochi
- Thrissur Health University of Kerala
- College of Medicine, Alappuzha Government T D
Kerala's forensic science colleges offer admission based on merit and through an entrance exam. Candidates must submit their applications along with their scores from their prior level examinations on the official website, such as Class 12, BSc Forensic Science, and MSc Forensic Science, in order to be considered for the merit procedure. They will furthermore need to apply. In contrast, some colleges also admit students based on exam results. Depending on the university you select, you can find out more information about the admissions procedure for the programme.

All the best.
if 75% is not there in 10+2 but average rank like 50% in jee advance these students are eligible for b.tech in IIST Trivandrum
That would be challenging because applicants for the B.Tech programme at IIST must have completed senior secondary school with an average MINIMUM of 75% marks from a recognised board and must have studied Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, a language, and a different fifth topic.
The candidates selected in the course are based on the both 10+2 merits and JEE Advanced scores.

I applied through SCB channel and I got 11701 in IAT 2022.can i except admission in IISER trivandrum?
Dear Aspirant,
It is quite difficult to predict the rank and college situation as it depends on the number of students willing to take admission into the college, the seat matrix and the preference of the students.
There about 1700 seats in almost all IISERs and about 1300 are definitely filled via SCB channel.
Looking at this trend we can say that if you belong to the general category it is quite difficult for you to get admission into IISER-TVM with this rank . You have a small chance of getting in the last rounds or post-allotment rounds but please keep other options open.
Usually every year there are about 50-60 students who get into each IISER and leave as they get medical/ engineering colleges.
Yet, it is not smart to count on those trends.
Hope this helps.
So my daughter went through all the IISER institutes and now is really interested in going to either IISER Pune or Trivandrum. Can someone please let me know the differences between these institutes specific to Biology?
Dear aspirant,
IISER-TVM and Pune both offer five-year BS-MS Dual degrees. There are a few differences though.
In IISER-TVM you'll have to do all courses (Physics, chemistry, math and biology) for four semesters and you'll have to pick a major in the third year (fifth semester). These are basic introductory courses and in IISER Pune this happens only for the first three semesters after which you'll get to pick two disciplines as pre major choice for one semester and then move on to one discipline for major coursework. You have the liberty of not choosing a major in IISER-Pune. You can take courses to fulfill the credits and you'll graduate with a BS-MS in Science instead of a BS MS in biology/ physics/math/chemistry. This option is not available in TVM. Other than that everything else like is almost similar between both the institutions.
Hope this helps.
