Hello There,
To apply for a 10-year residential certificate in Telangana, despite having stayed in a hostel in Andhra Pradesh, you can still get a residence certificate based on your long-term association with Telangana. Here's a general process and the documents required for obtaining a residence certificate in Telangana:
Documents Required:
1. Application form: Filled residence certificate application form.
2. Address proof: Any of the following:
- Aadhaar Card
- Voter ID
- Ration Card
- Utility bills (electricity, water) in the name of the applicant or family member.
3. Proof of age: Birth Certificate or School Leaving Certificate (mentioning Telangana as your native place).
4. Proof of residence in Telangana for the last 10 years, which could include:
- School/College certificates from Telangana (if you studied in Telangana before moving to AP).
- House tax receipts or rent agreements.
- Affidavit declaring you are a resident of Telangana.
5. Parental details: Any document showing your parents’ residence in Telangana (e.g., house deeds, parental occupation documents).
6. Identity Proof: PAN card, Passport, or any valid ID proof.
7. Passport size photos.
Enquiry Process:
Once you submit the application and documents, the authorities may conduct a physical verification or seek a report from the local revenue officer (Tehsildar) to confirm the details. They may ask for the following:
- Details about your family’s residence in Telangana.
- Verification of your schooling history and hostel stay in AP.
- Statements from neighbors or local officials confirming your stay in Telangana.
You will likely need to visit the Tehsildar office or apply online via Telangana's official MeeSeva portal.
Can anyone join like this?
Yes, there are cases where students study in a different state while their parents are still residents of another state. You may still be eligible for a residence certificate in Telangana based on your family’s permanent residence, especially if your stay in AP was only for educational purposes.
Best Wishes!

hello aspirant,
I hope that you are doing absolutely great.
With reference to your above mentioned query, I would like to tell you that yes, you can write the NEET UG Examination next year also, if you don't get alloted any seat in first and second round of NEET UG Counselling. There's no age limit for any candidate to give the NEET EXamination.
Further, you'll still be eligible for further State counselling of NEET UG even if you appear for NEET examination again.
