Congratulations on clearing the UGC NET exam! To pursue a PhD in History in the USA, start by identifying universities with strong History departments. Research their specific PhD requirements, including entrance exams, research proposals, and academic qualifications. Typically, a master’s degree or its equivalent is expected, though some programs may consider strong NET scores. Contact potential advisors, and ensure your research interests align. Is ews valid if it dated after the UGC NET exam but before result declared?
Hello aspirant,
The validity for the EWS certificate - Economically Weaker Section is for one year only and it must be updated or renew for every financial year. Now, yoru EWS certificate for 2022 year must be issue on of after 1st April 2022 to be accepted in UGC NET and it does not depend pon the exam date or the result date.
So, your EWS certificate will be useful at the time of counselling as it will avail you various benefits of a Economically weaker section. However, if it is unvalid or if your EWS certificate is not renewed before the counselling date of UGC NET, then you EWS reservation shall stand cancel adn you'll be regarded as a General Category student.
Further, if you do not have a valid EWS certificate right now for UGC NET application, you can submit a self-declaration form which will stand as a proof of your EWS candidate and you can submit that certificate when you'll be issued a new certificate within the next 15 days.
I hope that this will help.
