Yes, as per your educational qualification you are eligible to appear only for the CSIR NET.
CSIR NET exam is conducted only for the science background students where as UGC NET exam is conducted for non-science students

From Dec 2018, National Testing Agency became the exam conducting body for UGC NET on the place of CBSE.
To qualify any exam, the essential step is getting the complete knowledge related to the exam and latest notifications help you in that.
NTA decided to conduct the NET exam in online mode on 20th, 21st, 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th & 28th June 2019 in two shifts per day.

As per the eligibility criteria, laid down by UGC NET governing body. Candidates who have completed their master's degree with 55% marks(no rounding off) from the universities/institutions recognized by UGC in Humanities(including languages) and Social Sciences, Computer Science and application, Electronic Science etc are eligible for this test. For OBC/SC/ST/PWD candidates the minimum marks in PG is 50%.
Candidates who have appeared OR will be appearing at the qualifying Master’s degree (final year) examination and whose result is still awaited orcandidates whose qualifying examinations have been delayed may also apply for this Test.
Since you are in first semester, you can't apply as of now.

The Other Backward Classes (OBC) belonging to non-creamy layer/Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/persons with disability (PwD) category candidates who have secured at least 50% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s degree or equivalent examination are eligible for this Test.
Candidates who are pursuing their Master’s degree or equivalent course or candidates who have appeared for their qualifying Master’s degree (final year) examination and whose result is still awaited or candidates whose qualifying examinations have been delayed may also apply for this test. However, such candidates will be admitted provisionally and shall be considered eligible for award of JRF/eligibility for Assistant Professor only after they have passed their Master’s Degree OR equivalent examination with at least 55% marks (50% marks in case of OBC/SC/ST/PwD category candidates). Such candidates must complete their Masters degree or equivalent examination within two years from the date of NET result with required percentage of marks, failing which they shall be treated as disqualified.

Which exams are conducted for lectureship and their exam patterns?

There are various exams through which you can complete your dream of becoming lecturer.
The topmost exams for the lectureship are UGC NET & CSIR NET. UGC NET exam is conducted for Arts, Commerce and Humanities aspirants and CSIR NET exam is organized for Science stream students.
To get a good score in the exam you need to get complete knowledge about the exam pattern.
Exam pattern of UGC NET Exam -
As per the latest pattern, UGC NET exam is conducted in two papers i.e. Paper 1 and Paper 2.
Paper 1 — It is a common General Aptitude Test which consists questions based on Reasoning Ability, Comprehension Reading, Mental Ability, and General Awareness etc. It contains total 50 questions with weightage of 100 marks, all are compulsory.
Paper 2 — It consists 100 MCQs type questions based on subjects each of 2 marks. The questions are based on the subject which selected by the candidate during the application form submission.
Both papers are conducted in single three hours.
There is no minus marking on any negative answer in both papers.
Exam Pattern of CSIR NET exam –
The exam authority HRDG, CSIR conducts this exam to examine the aspirant’s brilliancy level in particular subject. Along with this CSIR also tests their general aptitude abilities.
CSIR UGC NET is conducted in three parts i.e. Part A, Part B & Part C.
Part A – It is common for all subjects. It includes the MCQ type questions based on the topics such as General Science, Quantitative Reasoning & Analysis and Research Aptitude.
Part B – This part includes the subject related conventional MCQs type questions with less difficulty level.
Part C – This part contains the subject related questions with higher difficulty level to test the candidate’s scientific knowledge.
