CSIR NET Exam how to different from UGC NET Exam? Explain.

The purpose of conducting both the exam is the same as both the tests are conducted to test the eligibility of the candidates for colleges and universities level lecturership and for Junior Research Fellowship Award. But there is some difference between the exams:
- CSIR NET Exam is conducted only for 5 subjects of science streams that are: Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Physical Sciences, and Earth atmospheric ocean and Planetary Sciences. While on the other hand, there is a total of 81 subjects in which you can take your exam.
- The Eligibility Criteria is different for both the Exams- For UGC NET Exam- Candidates should have a post-graduation degree (in UGC NET Subjects) with 55% marks for the general category.
Eligibility for CSIR NET Exam ; M.Sc. or B.Tech./B.E./B.S. 4 Year programme or an equivalent degree, with a minimum of 55% marks for general.
What are the differences between UGC NET and CSIR NET?
UGC NET Exam : On behalf of University Grants Commission (UGC), the National Eligibility Test (NET) is conducted for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the Eligibility for Assistant Professor (https://www.anujjindal.in/ugc-net-jrf-admit-card-eligibility-result/) only or Junior Research Fellowship & Assistant Professor Both, in Indian Universities and Colleges.
CSIR NET: CSIR NET is conducted by NTA to shortlist aspirants for the award of JRF and eligibility of Assistant Professor for Science subjects only. UGC NET is conducted by NTA to select candidates for the award of JRF and eligibility of Assistant Professor for all other subjects (total 81).

CBSE NET is scheduled to be conducted on July 8, 2018. The test will consist of two papers - Paper I and II. Paper-I will consist of 50 objective type questions carrying 2 marks. General questions will be asked in this paper that assess the teaching or research aptitude of candidates. This paper tests reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate. This paper carries total 100 marks and is held for 1 hour duration. Paper II consist of 100 objective type questions carrying 2 marks. Questions will be based on the subject selected by the candidates. Total marks allotted to this paper is 200. Candidates have to answer within 2 hours.

You can appear for CSIR NET exam in Physical Sciences.
The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) conducts theCSIR NET exam on the bi-yearly basis for those who want to make their career in Research and Lectureship field.
To appear for the exam you should have at least 55% aggregate marks if you are from General & OBC categories or if you belong to ST/SC/PwD category then you must have minimum 50% aggregate marks in post graduation.

There . the UGC NET and CSIR NET Exam are conducted to check the candidature for Lectureship and research or to pursue the Ph.D. degree.
The CSIR NET is conducted for the science stream candidates in the life science, chemical science, mathematical science, Earth science and Physical science.
While the UGC NET Exam is conducted for other streams like arts, commerce etc. for more than 84 subjects.
The minimum eligibility to apply for NET exam is Post graduation degree with 55% marks. Candidates can apply in their post-graduation subject or its related subject.
As you have completed the Masters in chemistry then you can apply for the CSIR NET Chemical science.

You can take UGC NET in Management as well. It just widens up the oppportunities. There are many organisations like vizag steel, power grid etc who recruit HR personnel from UGC exam. Do check them out. The notifications for these are already out, do check if they are asking for any specific option in UGC. As far as I remember, they would generally ask management only.
