When I cleared UGC NET in OBC category I had my valid OBC NCL certificate. Now the certificate validity over. I am not able to produce OBC NCL CERTIFICATE because my family (Parent income exceed 8lakh per annum) Shall I apply for jobs in UR category? or Should I again appear? Give the solution
Hello Student
Private you have applied for UGC NET OBC category when you are listed in OBC NCL category as your father's income was less than 8 lacs. Your father's income has exceeded 8lx pranam so you are no more in the category OBC NCL cannot enjoy the privileges included in OBC NCL category. Now you should have to apply for as General candidate and get the chances for a job for JRF that means junior research fellowship for doing your PHD with stipend and scholarship.
This will help.
I was HINDU OBC, but now I have converted to a Christian group which is general category. For writing UGC NET, which should I give as my category, OBC or GENERAL? I didnt change my school certificate yet
hello ,
I have gone throughout your query and here you are HINDU OBC and you converted to a CHRISTIAN group that is a general category so mention GENERAL category as you converted and your category into GENERAL. Also consider, you can get your caste changing documents while filling your UGC NET examination. As your new category is GENERAL which is final.
Hope you understand what I am trying to say. In case of any query about this, you can comment below.
Thank you and good luck:)
If I cleared my UGC-NET in my 1st Semester of MEd, will it be considered as valid?
Hello,
As per the eligibility criteria laid out for UGC NET, candidates who are pursuing their master's degree or are in the final year of the qualifying examination are eligible to apply for UGC NET, however they need to secure 55% aggregate in their masters degree from a recognized university, there is relaxation of 5% for reserved categories, in such cases candidates are required to complete their graduation within two years from the date of declaring of UGC NET results, failing to do so will lead to disqualification for JRF/Assistant Professor, the scores of JRF remains valid for three years from the date of receiving of JRF letter,

Dear aspirant,
It doesn't really matter if you have made your ews certificate after you have filled the form. But if you have uploaded a certificate in the application form which is different with what you have made now then it could create unnecessary trouble.
But the certificate which you have made now is the only certificate then you don't need to worry about anything . It is absolutely right.
Ews eligibility criteria is as follows -
1- Your family income should not be less than 8L per annum
2- You should not own more than 5 acres of land.
3- You should not own more than 1000 sq ft of home.
