I have 2 marksheet, one is from isc and one is from nios on demand in maths, am i eligible for DU counselling?
If you have two marksheets, one from ISC and one from NIOS On-Demand in Mathematics, and you're wondering about your eligibility for admission to Delhi University (DU), here are the key points to consider:
-
Eligibility Criteria : Delhi University generally accepts marks from recognized boards like ISC and NIOS. You should check the specific eligibility criteria for the course you are applying to, especially regarding the acceptance of subjects from different boards.
-
Combination of Marksheets : If you have marks in different subjects from different boards, DU typically allows combining them, provided both marksheets are from recognized boards and you meet the minimum eligibility criteria for the course.
-
Documentation : Ensure that you have all the necessary documents, including both marksheets, passing certificates, and any other required documentation. DU might ask for an equivalency certificate or an explanation of the combination of marksheets.
-
Subject Requirements : Verify that you meet the subject-specific requirements for the course, especially in mathematics if it is a core requirement for the course you're applying to.
-
Consult DU Admissions : To be sure, it's advisable to contact the DU admissions office directly or visit their official website for detailed guidance. They can provide specific instructions on how to proceed with marksheets from different boards.
-
Previous Year Trends : Check previous years' admission guidelines or ask current students if they have had similar cases. This might give you an idea of how DU handles such situations.
As long as both marksheets are from recognized boards and you meet the subject and percentage criteria, you should be eligible to apply to DU. However, confirming with DU directly is always a good step to avoid any issues during the admission process.
Ive recently taken admission in du sol, and i want to know if it is worth it to pursue ba psychology honours from du sol? Im really confused because Ive heard many youtubers saying that its a waste of time and all.
Du school of open learning does not provide any internship or placement opportunities for B.A. students thats why most of the students dont prefer doing degree courses from the college.if you get opportunity in other regular colleges go for it because regular degree has more worth than open learning in future and opens doors to wider career.
on my du application..the application status is "category certificate verified " but college remarks says category certificate is subjected to physical verification. what does this means? also no payment option is available till now and tomorrow is last day of document verification.
Hello Lakshita,
It sounds like there are a couple of things happening with your DU (Delhi University) application:
-
Category Certificate Verified : This status typically means that the university has received your category certificate and has done an initial check or verification of it.
-
Category Certificate Subject to Physical Verification : This means that while the university has done a preliminary check of your certificate, it still needs to be physically verified. In other words, you may need to submit the original certificate in person or provide additional documentation to confirm its authenticity.
-
No Payment Option Available : If there is no payment option available yet, it could be due to a couple of reasons. It might be that the system has not yet been updated to allow payment or that it is waiting for the physical verification of your documents before allowing you to proceed with payment.
Given that tomorrow is the last date for document verification, you should:
-
Contact the University : Reach out to the admissions office or the relevant department at Delhi University as soon as possible to clarify the situation. They can provide specific instructions on what you need to do to complete your application.
-
Prepare Your Documents : Ensure you have all the required documents ready for physical verification. If you need to visit the university, make sure you have the original documents and any additional forms that may be required.
-
Check for Updates : Keep an eye on any communications from the university and check your application portal regularly for updates.
Timely communication with the university will be crucial to ensure that your application process proceeds smoothly.
Hope it helps !

it has been 3 days since i submitted the application form of du sol but i still didnt get the option of fee payment, i even sent them an email they said it will be updated soon but it still havent been updated, what should i do?
It sounds like you're experiencing a delay in the fee payment section for your DU SOL application. Here’s a step-by-step approach to address the issue:
1. **Follow Up with DU SOL**: Since you’ve already emailed them once, it’s worth following up if you don’t receive a response within a reasonable time. Ensure you include your application number and details to help them locate your application quickly.
2. **Check Application Portal Regularly**: Sometimes, system updates might take a bit longer. Make sure to check the application portal frequently for any updates or changes.
3. **Contact Technical Support**: Reach out to DU SOL’s technical support or helpline. They might offer more immediate assistance and can confirm if there are any issues with your application or payment system.
4. **Visit the DU SOL Office**: If possible, visit the DU SOL office in person. This can sometimes expedite the resolution of technical issues.
5. **Keep Records**: Maintain all records of correspondence and screenshots of your application status. This will be helpful if you need to escalate the issue.
Be patient, but persistent, as these issues are often resolved with a bit of follow-up.

can i choose hindi as language subject in cuet for getting admission in bcom hons in srcc in Delhi University
Hello,
To pursue B.Com (Hons) at Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), Delhi University, through the CUET (Common University Entrance Test), it's crucial to understand the specific requirements for the language subjects and the entrance exam pattern.
Language Requirements for CUET:
-
Language Choices in CUET:
- The CUET allows students to choose from a range of language subjects, including Hindi, for the language component.
- Generally, students select one language subject from the list of options provided in the CUET, which can be used for calculating the best of four subjects as per the admission criteria.
-
Impact on B.Com (Hons) Admission:
- For admission to B.Com (Hons) at SRCC, the university usually considers the best of four subjects from the CUET score. This includes the language subject you choose.
- While Hindi can be chosen as a language subject in CUET, the exact criteria for calculating your best four subjects and their weightage might vary.
-
Specific Requirements for SRCC:
- SRCC often requires students to have a good score in the domain-specific subjects relevant to the B.Com (Hons) course.
- In addition to the language subject, ensure that you meet the subject-specific requirements and cut-offs set by SRCC.
Choosing Hindi as your language subject in CUET should be acceptable, provided you meet all other admission criteria and cut-offs set by SRCC.

Is there any way if we du dean office, for correction in du application. Is there any mid entry for rejected admission due to wrong subject mapping while filling fresh registration? can we take part in spot round? pls reply we are very upset, my daughter year will be wasted. please
Hello Nidhi,
I understand how frustrating this situation must be. Regarding your question about corrections in the DU application, it's usually best to contact the Dean's Office directly for any amendments. They can provide the most accurate guidance on how to proceed.
For issues like incorrect subject mapping, there might be specific procedures or deadlines for corrections. As for mid-entry or spot rounds, these opportunities depend on the university’s policies and availability, so it's worth asking the admissions office about these options.
I hope this helps, and I sincerely hope you find a solution soon. If you need any more assistance, feel free to reach out.
