Talking about enjoying college life keep that aside, now tell studying is UEM kolkata is worth it or not? I want to know about the college(in this pandemic no one is enjoying life except few)? Is studying there worth it and about placements also?
Hi Aspirant,
UEM Kolkata is a college on the rise.So the certificate from that college will not carry much weightage as from IEM,Heritage,Techno etc. Moreover the professors are also not too great, they are good. You can get good placements at the end of fourth year.If you are left with no option except UEM Kolkata to study engineering then go for it.As a last chance this college is good.
Hope it helps!!
UEM kolkata for cse(aiml), is the course and the college is good enough?
Hi Aspirant,
UEM Kolkata follows very strict laws and disciplines. You wont be able to enjoy college life there. Moreover you gets placed in IT Companies with TCS being the mass recruiters.Faculties are also not that great. So keep this college to the last option when you dont have any chance left.Infrastructures are quite good with modern lab technologies and good classrooms.
Hope it helps!!
which one is better in UEM kolkata: CSE or CSE(AIML)? In general which one should I prefer for more exposure?
Hello aspirant,
CSE (AIML) is preferred above CSE in University of Engineering and Management in Kolkata because CSE became common and everyone are interested to opt for it. But CSE (AIML) is offered by some Institutions only. It will have good future.

what is the difference between cse and cst in uem kolkata?
Greetings!
There is no big difference between the both as both are Engineering degree courses . Both these courses have a lot of theory and practical applications.
If you're interested in both Hardware and Software you may very well choose CSE.
If you're interested in only Software, then you may very well choose CST.
However it will never make any much difference.

The CS engineering programme usually deals with how to build micro processors, how to write a compiler etc. IT is the business side of computers - usually dealing with databases, business, and accounting. One way to think of it is that IT deals with the application of computing technology to real life processes and CSE deals with the “science” that facilitates these applications.
Further, while CSE focuses on the foundation of computing, IT as a discipline focuses on satisfying the computing technology needs of organisations. So, in a continuum between principles and application, IT focuses more on application, with the goal being to apply knowledge of computing sciences for solving problems. However, as the foundations of IT are in Computer Science, Indian universities and colleges deem it feasible to have a CS-based IT programme. This allows a graduate of the programme to choose a career in CS or IT, based on their choice and availability of job prospects. And mostly corporates make little difference between these disciplines while selecting students.
The nature of the industry requirements in the country also plays a crucial role. Since most of the companies in this sector focus on application development and maintainance at best, the need for hard core reserach level employees is minimal. So even if a student is taught subjects like chip design architecture, machine level languages , his or her chances of getting a career in that domain is minimal.
UEM kolkata is a good college and the average package was 6lacs and last year.
ALL THE BEST
